I really want to know about budget of Marvel shows. Were they gaining or not?Like, one time, I went to a forum, cant remember its' name, but over there it was written that Justice League budget (monthly or yearly?I dont know)was $750000 where as in compare with X-Men:Evolution,the show recieved only $350000.Does this mens DC earns way more than Marvel for after what a lot of hardwork was put into X-M:E and its budget was still way below than Justice League. Is this true, the budget thing?

JLU gets a high budget for various reasons. Its one of the most expensive cartoons outside of the Simpsons and up there with Avatar. I think DC gets a higher budget by being part of Time Warner, which has a long history in animation, also the guys who create JLU are trusted to make a good show with that kind of money, and JLU is of such scope and is one of the nicest looking shows out there that it ups the budget again. While X Men Evo was the first Marvel toon in a few years, wasn't run by any big names in the animation game( but veterans none the less ) so they probably didn't get as much money because there were to many unaccounted variables.

No one's ever really been sure what the show's budgets are, if I'm not mistaken. Whilst I doubt X-Men: Evolution had anywhere near the budget of Justice League Unlimited, I can't imagine it was a cheap show to produce. The lush colouring, the beautiful backgrounds - can't have come too cheap. It certainly didn't look cheap, like a lot of Marvel's cartoon efforts.

I think the budget crunch can be felt on some shows. From what I've read here at this site AKOM is a very cheap animation company and Marvel went with them when they did X-Men: The Animated Series and you can just tell they had to cut corners on alot of places when animating that show. I bet the budget also came into play for Spider-Man: The Animated Series. But like Stu said other shows like X-Men: Evolution and the MTV Spider-Man and even Silver Surfer looked to be very expensive shows.

... if marvel were owned by a big entertainment studio (fox, universal, sony, etc.), then maybe the budgets would be bigger..
