Melfina, alot (she's always supposed to be nude when she's in that tube thingy) plus Aisha and Suzuka in one episode. They never really show much, though.

People overrate Outlaw Star's nudity to an insane extent. There's only a few of them:

1. You see Aisha's breasts for a split second in the Hot Springs Episode
2. You see Melfina's breasts in the second to last episode for about 5 seconds.
3. You see Suzuka's, Urt's and a Sylgreen's ass in the Hot Springs episode.

Thats it.

For the most part, In Sailor Moon, what you see is what you get. They're all nude during the transformations. Whether or not there's editing, even I realized that during my first viewing of the show.

There's a very few scenes that were cut for nudity. But not much, really. They found a lot of other things to cut for OTHER reasons. Doesn't make me like the dub any less, but some people go insane over it.

No offense, my friend, but is your space bar broken or something?

Anyway, any time you see one of the characters in the onsen in Tenchi Muyo and they don't have a towel on, they're nude. There's at least one or two other short onsen scenes that were cut out instead of getting the digi-bikini treatment as well.

The-dashes-everywhere combined with your thurough interest in this subject disturbs me.

Nudity in anime isn't too rare, but it's usually barbie doll. Sometimes they'll draw the top in, but below the belt is never seen in non-hentai.

Precisely. Titles such as Tenchi, Ranma, BGC2040, Sailor Moon, Ceres etc. are done in Barbie-Doll style. Thus, they're not detailed. In Japan, nudity is far more widely accepted than in the West. Night-time Network television over in Japan even has shows where females go topless (Something you'd have to tune in to Premium cable to see here).

I'm thinking about getting Trigun. My parents are really overprotective when it comes to anything outside of cursing, so could someone tell me if it's got any nudity?

All the shows on Toonami don't have much nudity to start....execpt Batman Beyond, that's chockfull of nudes. Everyone is nude...You know much money they spent editing it??

Nope, with the exception of the time Vash had to walk down the street naked. :) But it's only a Butt shot. They draw anime men with no... *cough* "equipment". It was hilarious in Generator Gawl to see Gawl get out of the bath, robbed of his man-hood. :p

CN seems to leave odd semi-nude scenes in like reeni's behind going under the bathtub in S i believe. As well as Ayesha's crotch is wide open in some camera shots.

Its not like they can't show someone nude in a bathtub...just look at DB. Bulma was nude...no bikinis.

Interesting note-in Zoids once, they were showing Bit anxiously takin' his clothes off to take a bath, next scene you barely notice a digital 'towel' around his waist. Fer pete's sake, that's barely a plumber-crack!

lol I remember that. I thought it was quite funny. My favorite "bathroom" scene was from the episode of DBZ where Hurcule has just gotten out of the shower and he is in his towel. Suddenly, a whole bunch of news reporters come barging in. Hurcule starts talking to him and then says something like, "I don't keep anything from my fans." Then it shoots to a scene of his ankles or something where we see the towel fall off. I thought that scene was absolutely hilarious! :)

minmei didn't have a digital bikini, neither did what's her name from Season 2 of robotech, the girl with the invid, that u see in the toonami 98 intro. Thats when jason just used the cutters i guess.

Nudity is a really tough thing to regulate. I guess I'd have to say, as much as I hate censorship, I do have to admit that nudity in anime is mostly of women, and which seems to really have no purpose. Why does it matter whether Melfina is naked or in a black swimsuit? The same could be said of the tenchi girls or other characters. So I don't really mind if a swimsuit is painted on. Now if the nudity is part of the plot, for example to show the character embarrassed, or for some other plot reason, then I think editing it or cutting it out is stupid. I am not offended by nudity, but if it has no purpose then i am not offended by the editing either.

As in my thread at the Revolution board from my questioning of hentain and yaoi, I shall question. What in the blue hell do people see in animated nudity? 2 particular friends of mine(mysticssjjoe knows the 2 meatball heads I mean) always bug me about all 3 of these things. What's the deal?

I love it when people show the profound respect they have for their fellow human beings. Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but statements like that really piss me off. As a female, I don't think nudity should be in any and all stories just because it pleases a couple of guys who have a thing for animated females.

Just leave in the nudity, or at least conceed to the viewer that the woman is naked. They can crop up the image like in Bebop. We don't see the goods, yet we know they are naked.

Okay, I understand the typical guy reason for needing to see naked females in every form of medium, but explain to me why it matters whether melfina is nude or in a swimsuit? If I was the average viewer, who didn't look up edits on the web, I would never have known that they were originally naked. So why the complaints about the edits? It doesn't affect the plot, and it allows us to view shows that we would NEVER see on CN otherwise.
