Many anime fans may be familiar with Fujiko Fujio for Doraemon, but they also created many other animes throughout the years. Some examples including:

Obake no Q-Taro (Q-Taro the Ghost)
Three anime series. First in 1965-67, (which was in black and white), second in 1971-72 and a third one in 1985-87. Tokyo Movie Shinsha (TMS) did the first two. This was about a neurotic ghost who's hungry all the time, and is afraid of dogs.

In a way, it's similar to Casper, although humans don't seem to be afraid of him.

Kaibutsu Kun
Basically a Japanese version of "Addams Family". Two anime series, one from 1968-69 (in black and white), and another in 1980-82. Again, TMS did the first one (in collaberation with Studio Zero)

Kiteretsu Daihyakka
This is VERY similar to "Doraemon", as it involves odd inventions and similar characters (the main character's not a loser like Nobita, though). This came out in 1988 and ended in 1996 (I actually saw the show during its run and even watched the last episode)

And many more, but these are their best examples.

Anyone familiar with them, and maybe even watched it?

there's a live action movie based on his works.
it's called "NinXNin" starring Shingo Katori (SMAP). not too sure what it's about, but it's got something to do with ninjas.

Wasn't there a superhero manga by Fujiko Fujio where the hero has his usual mask & cape on but still wears a T-shirt & shorts like Nobita. I do recall a certain Jayan (Giant) like character as his teammate.

That's "Perman".

That's "Perman".
Actually, it's pronounced Pa-man.
I've seen a few episodes of Pa-Man, but it's rather boring. Two movies based on him, both shown as a double feature with the 24th and 25th Doraemon movie, were enjoyable.

That movie is based off Hattori the Ninja, about a ninja kid who goes off to attend a regular school. Or something like that. THat bored me too.

Did any of his works got brought to America?

There were two "Pa-Man" anime, one from 1960s animated by TMS (in black and white) and a color remake from 1980s. The 1980s version was released on videos, although the black and white version is hard to find except in Brazil and Spain.

I think the translated version of "Doraemon" comic-books made it to some American book stores, although it's limited.

An American company has the rights for dubbed "Doraemon", but it's not released yet.
