This is the talkback thread for Bandai Announces New Titles For August (http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=10336).
I'm not gonna lie, I actually had a slight desire to watch Angel Tales back when it debuted on DVD (never got around to it). The idea of various animals getting re-incarnated into humans and keeping some of their animal traits in the new bodies sounded kinda fun. But I've read a LOT of bad reviews for the show. So, objective Toon Zone members, how IS that show?

I know, I agree it should be monthly as well.

that means IGPX only has one more disc to go and the entire second season has to fit on those final two discs (6 eps. on one of them and 5 on the other?)

I think something's wrong with your math somewhere...

If anything needs speeding up, it's SEED Destiny.

Just like to note there will be 2 versions of Eureka 7 Vol 3: one will be an SE with a T-shirt and another Manga volume(probably vol 2)

Hmm, I should make sure I stop buying the manga as individual volumes then (already got hit on that with vol.1.)

I hear ya. By the time it finishes, HD or Blu-Ray (which ever one wins the format wa") will probably have taken over. Same with Hikaru no Go at the rate Viz is going. Perhaps, they will suprise by announcing an August release date for Vol. 4 in a few weeks. But, hey, I can dream.

From a current business sense I can understand it, it's the same as what they pulled with SDGF. With no TV support for the show they're trying to drag it out to get as much money as possible. However, anime fans are famously fickle. If they don't start doubling up soon a good chunk of their audience will probably go elsewhere for the episodes.

I'm not going to deny that a lot of folks hate Angel Tales. Personally, I thought it was a really cute show. I guess a lot of people felt overloaded with all those girls. It's definately harem OD. I don't know if you have ever watched Sister Princess, but it's a lot like that title. Lots and lots of fluff so don't go into it expecting a whole lot. It's somewhat of a shame that the second season wasn't licensed. I liked it a little more than the first as it had more of a comedic edge to it.
