DC Direct is supposedly doing Smallville figures based on the liknesses of the actors of the characters Clark, Lana, and Lex.
They are to be shown at Toy fair this year to promote their toys to larger retailers so that they can possibly do larger runs, and lower prices!

If these figures are anything like the ones they usually put out, I don't think it'll be too long before we see Kryptonite Stryker Lex and Rocket Launcher Martha Kent.

You're thinking of Hasbro. DCD does all the good ones, with dead-on sculpts and accessories that make sense. I'll be picking up the Smallville figures, mostly just to say I have them :)

Oh sweet, I was hoping this was a different toymaker. Looks like I'll have to borrow a rocket launcher from one of the Supermans.

Looks like I'm gonna have to get a Lana action figure. ;)

When there are pics, I'll post a link. The first pics should be at
toyfair next month.

You know Alex Ross did some unknown DC Direct figures, the ones we were hoping was Kingdom Come stuff. Considering his TV Guide covers, ya think perhaps he did the Smallville figures? They probably wanted someone of his stature to do them. Course then again they might have added "Done by artist Alex Ross" to the little speech there.

Oh yeah. If Alex Ross does anything for DC, they'll scream it loud and proud.

I'm positive the earliest pics will be those from Toyfair. They're planned for an April solicitation, and Toyfair's in March at the latest.
