If you haven't purchased the 2-disc sets of Silly Symphonies and/or Mickey Mouse in Color, you should!

I just recieved Silly Symphonies in the mail today (#32,201) and it was worth every cent of the 26 bucks.

The prints are in excellent condition and the sound is surprisingly good. The intros by Leonard Maltin (and also the hidden Disney intros to several cartoons) are interesting and entertaining. The featurettes on SS merch. and the music are great and I haven't had the chance to look at the photo gallery yet (There seems to be a ton of images in the gallery!)

I should be getting the Mickey DVD tomorrow (Movies Unlimited had to send it separate for some reason...).

The packaging (which I usually could care less about) is innovative. The tin is nothing like I've seen before and is simply 2 pieces with no hinge. Inside is a double keep case (like Snow White) with a classy gloss cover. Inside is a nice reproduction of the Flowers and Trees poster and a keen booklet with a list of shorts on the discs.

Another top-notch disc from Disney. I hope they do more Treasures DVD's!

A Donald Duck or Goofy set would be nice. :)
