Well, does anyone here like the NHL. I do, and I like the Pittsburgh Penguins. I love Mario Lemieux and Johan Hedberg. WELL if anyone does like hockey tell me please.

Hey, we really swindled you on that Lindros deal!
What did u think about it at the time and now after Lindros had that "minor" concussion?

HOCKEY!!! WOO-HOO! *sigh* No one at my school likes hockey. They don't like football or basketball either. *sigh* Maybe I should transfer.......anyone's school willing to take me? (evil smilie)

You swindled us? Let's see, first he had a very minor concussion and he's making a comeback. Players are allowed to get injured, you know.
Second, how'd Hlavac work out? Oh wait, he's no longer on the TEAM.
Have fun with fat Brendl. If he ever gets out of all that chocolate cake he consumes, he MAY reach the level of, I dunno, Bret Lindros.
Have fun, Flygirls. It's going to be a LOOOOOONG season for you dingbats.

New York Rangers are my team. I'm the only girl in the whole school that is into hockey. I'm a goaltender person; Hedberg is good by me. Richter, though...not bad for two reconstructed knees, eh? :D Blackburn makes me feel inadequate. He's making more than a million a year and he's only a couple years older than I am. <sigh> Some are just destined to be starving writers :( .
Devils....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! :D
Failure, by the way, who's first in the Atlantic Division? ;)
Just ragging on you, man. :)

Well considering that's Lindros' what? 9th concussion of his career? Wasnt that 1 and a half year wait supposed to clear all that up? What should be scary is none of the hits he suffered that led to the "minor" concussion were even big hits. I dont have to mention Pat LaFontaine do I? ;)
I was kinda disappointed Hlavac was traded, I really liked him. We could've got more than Brashear at that too. But we have started winning more with Brasher, so if that loss leads to a Stanley Cup, I can live with it. I'm not sure what to make of Brendl, I think he'll be a good player. But if Johnsson turns out to become half the player Leech has been, and he has been great so far, that trade will have been worth it. Especially considering Lindros will be out of hockey in the next year, mark my words.
Hey GS, we're in 1st place. By 2 points. In 5 less games! ;)

The Rangers will get out of their slump, starting by wiping the floor with Clarke's goons on Saturday (it's happening.)
As for Lindros, it took him 40+ games to get a concussion. It's not like every hit he took this season gave him one!
So what if you got 5 games on us? Who's to say you'll win all five of them? We'll see in April whether they mean anything or not. Once we get Messier back (even though he's been next to useless, we've been winning with him and losing without him, so...) we'll get back into the swing of things and we'll retake the division before you know it.
You may be able to match us in offense, and you probably have the edge in defense (DUMP ULANOV, SOMEBODY!), but Cechmanek > Richter? Boucher > Blackburn? Not a chance!

Well, the problem with Lindros is it took him about 5 years, give or take a couple, to get his first concussion. Then they kept coming and coming. The thing with concussions is that once you have one, it makes you more susceptible to another one and another one and another one and so on. Lindros used to be one of my favorite players until that whole fight erupted. I dont want his career to end, but it looks more and more inevitable every time he gets a concussion though.
As for goalies, I think Boucher's gonna be key for us, I'm not Cechmanek as good as he is, is a Stanley Cup goalie. I'd take either of them over Richter. Personally, I think Richter's been way overrated after the Rangers won the Cup in '94. Actually, give me a choice, and I'd rather have Cujo over anyone.

I look over to my Maple Leafs news when I'm stewing over the latest boneheaded losing streaks of the Toronto Raptors...
I guess I'll take more notice if the Leafs make a case for themselves in the playoffs. A Stanley Cup for the first time in 30 something years could do it...

I agree that Rickie tends to be overrated at times. He seems to love turning the puck over. Maybe he gave Ulanov a few pointers?
I will admit though, he has been very solid this year and we'd have much less success without him.

Mario Is BACK.... Again. Last year when he came back they beat the Sabres on the road with a bad record then Mario returned and the Pens had a 5 or 6 game winning streak. Ladies and Gentlemen, the Pens are in good hands.

Not as much as I was when I was a kid. But I try to keep up on occasion. I'm more of a basketball fan, but the way our team is playing, I might switch to hockey again...

The first place in the conference Bruins are my team :D Good to see the team doing good for once, its been years since we've even reached the playoffs and haven't won a Stanley Cup in 30+ years if I remember correctly :(

<scowls at her inbox with all those old Blueshirt Extras stating their latest losing streak>
I hate midterms. They always interfere with the most important stuff. I'm just now watching the San Jose game tape when Lindros was mildly rattled. That shows you how far out of the loop I am. I was hoping I was right, that they had hung on in a couple of games, but Failure ripped my heart out and threw it on the ground and stomped on it....:( ;)
Grrrr....Well, at least the Fishsticks or the Devs ain't in first. Foley, you poor unfortunate son. :( Devils fans <shudder>. My heart bleeds for you.
Hey, now, looky here. "Rangers at Philadelphia 1 PM EST" this weekend. This should be interesting. Anybody going to see it live?
Definitely dump Ulanov. What was Sather thinking? Most (not all) of his other free-agent signings have worked out well (esp. Malakhov). Bring up someone from the farm. We haven't seen Smrek since the beginning of the season. Would be nice to see how he's doing.
I am now going to pray a hockey rosary for my team. 'Scuse me. :D
