This movie has been out a week, or two, I think. Anyone seen it yet? My first asumption on what the movie would be like were completely off, but thankfully I was pleasantly surprised. Beautiful Mind is a great movie, especially for those who have a background on John Nash already. But I think it's even better when you have know idea who Nash is, because then you get a bit more out of the movie as a watcher.

Just finished watching it and yes it's a very good movie. I like movies where you don't know exactly where it's going to go and doesn't depend on special effects. It should prove to everyone that Russell Crowe is a great actor. I see now why it won Best Picture. WAY better than Road to Perdition.

I thought it was excellent. Russel Crowe BLEW YOU AWAY with his performance. And it wasn't too predictable. At the end, his speech to his wife, was filled with so much passion, so much emotion. I cried. And I NEVER cry. Not when Bambi's mother died, NEVER.

Yeah, I agree...I thought the movie was great, both when I saw it in the theatres and when it was released on video. Russel Crowe did a great job all the way through the movie, and the supporting cast was terrific, too. I personally thought it was Ron Howard's best film, yet - and I've loved a lot of his work.

I didn't think I would like this movie at first, but it really pulled me in. It yanks you in so many directions. I highly suggest it to anyone that hasn't seen it yet.
