Ok the only point in the post is because once I read someone who said the Summers brothers weren't immune to each other powers since the moment of self-possesed, and in this moment of Adrift that theory is cancelled.
So Rogue actually harmed Scott with his own power for the same reason she didn't need the visors (But I don't know exactly how to explain that.

Yea I read the post a few times yesterday and I couldnt think of what to say seeing as I couldn't wrap my head on what was being asked. I think I have an idea that when rogue took Cyclop's power she would bsorb havok's powers? And that happened in one of the episodes i think:confused:

I think I understand the post. It's a common idea that mutants in the same bloodline can't effect each other with their mutant powers. I remember in the comics and the cartoon that Scott and Alex could not do any damage to each other with mutant powers. So maybe he's asking that if Rogue absorbed one of their powers would it still be the same?

It's alright. But did I get it right what you were trying to say? I think I did but I'm not entirely sure. It is a good question and one that I'm surprised hasn't popped up in the comics at least (at least to my knowledge).

Well I'm not sure, all I know is Rogue's abilities are different in Evolution because she can control the blasts that could mean something.
Maybe she can hurt both Alex and Scott with the powers but they can't hurt each other. It's hard to say.

Not necessarily. Think about it. Rogue's power is to absorb the abilities of other mutants. Scott's optic beams are his ability; being unable to control them is a function of the brain damage he received in the plane crash (or something else, if you believe what Joss Whedon writes in Astonishing). I don't think there's any special meaning behind that.

I remember in the 1990s X-Men cartoon series when Rogue absorbed Cyclop's powers she couldn't control it. The optic blasts fling her around the room and she had no control of them at all. But in X-Men: Evolution it did seem like she could control them but she also lacked the brain damage that Cyclops sustained that apparently caused him to be unable to control his powers. I wouldn't say Rogue's powers are different but that writers either acknowledged the effect of Cyclop's childhood accident on his powers or didn't. In theory if anyone else had Cyclop's power they should be able to control it.

In the comics, Cyclops got a new body (some convoluted time-travel body swap stuff) complete with new brain, he could control his powers then.
