I think this movie is one of disney's best and most sadly most underrated, No no wait i think this is in my opinion THE best disney movie ever! the animation was gorgeous and the humor is off the wall, i must say this is a way better movie than that much loved "Lion King".

Who else loves this?

I love The Emperor's New Groove!!!(though it's not my favorite Disney movie, which is a toss-up between The Little Mermaid,Pocahontas, and Mulan)...
I used to watch it all the time....I loved Kronk(and his shoulder angel and devil)and Yzma.....

Simply put, this is the film that got me interested in Disney animation again.

Really good movie, especially considering that they managed to pull a gem out of the political mess that suppousedly wrecked production of Kingdom of the Sun. .

What was Kingdom of the Sun, anyway?

Well...yeah, this movie was great. One of my all-time favorite movies. The sequel's not too bad, either.

One of my favorite Disney movies, great cast and really funny jokes. I loved it from the opening scene on with David Spade narrated his life.

According to people who worked at Disney in the late 90's Kingdom of the Sun was going to be an epic story that took place in the Pre-Colombian Andes. Unfortunately it got bogged down in those infamous "notes" and "creative revisions" that are suppousedly the bane of animation artist. It was also a very serious movie, and some people felt that it was to heavy and stiff. Eventually as the situation began to look like it was beyond repair, some people were brought in.

Eventually the movie we call The Emperor's new Groove was created.

At least that's how the legend goes.

The Emperor's New Groove is a teriffic movie. When I went to the theater to see it, I was expecting a "so-so" movie. I was very pleased at what I saw. It was a movie that employed genuine cartoon gags. It was serious when it needed to be and funny when it needed to be. Patrick Warburton was just great as Kronk. Director Mark Dindahl (Cats Don't Dance) put his personal mark on this one.

If you check out the character photo gallery on the bonus features of the DVD, you will notice that some of the identifier blocks on the pictures are still titled Kingdom of the Sun.

Kronk's New Groove DVD movie is pretty good, too. The TV series, Emperor's New School, is pretty much a cheap immitation. They have captured some of the "wit", but the animation quality is bad.

That's all

79 minutes of pure laughing gas. Even in the moments of character development, there is humor to be found (narrator Kuzco vs. on-screen Kuzco is a good example).

Quoting lines from it doesn't do justice. It just has to be seen.

Yzma was one of the characters in "Kingdom of the Sun", but a more serious one. Andreas Deja was her animator until the production changed to ENG and he went over to animate Lilo instead.

I think it's one of the funniest Disney movies, going all out with the anchronisms.

I'd known about it for awhile and ignored it as a poorly done animation trying to get by with big named comediens.

I just sortof ran into it on tv and once I started laughing, I was hooked. An amazingly funny movie that has become an instant favorite.

It is the only modern Disney Move that I enjoy without reservation. Is that appreciation enough? Absolutely hilarious, great voice work, full of oddball jokes ("My shoulder-angel!") and...well, it didn't take itself too seriously. So there was nothing to make all the goofball antics never feel out of place.

...I've still avoided the sequel and spinoff, though.

My favorite animated disney feature along with "Lilo & Stitch" in the post 1999 era of Disney. Truly animated and pretty funny as well. At first I didn't expect the movie to be as good as it was, but was glad I gave it a chance. The movie still holds up today, but the made-for-tv spinoff is horrible though.

I love this movie. Its my second favorite Disney movie. The Little Mermaid is my favorite. I totally didn't expect what happened to Yzma towards the end to happen. It was the funniest moment I've seen in a Disney cartoon movie. I even love the tv show. I watch it whenever I can. Since I'm off on fridays and staurdays (when its shown the most), I watch every episode they show.

TENG is the funniest animated comedy Disney has ever produced. Period.

Still haven't seen the sequel, although it's in my Netflix queue.

The TV series has been really lame by comparison. Without David Spade and John Goodman's comedic chemistry, the jokes continually fall flat. J.P. Manoux (who voices Kuzco) does a horrible soundalike for Spade, and his voice is just plain irritating. (Why they didn't hire James Arnold Taylor--whose Spade voice match is uncanny--is baffling to me. But maybe he just wasn't available. He's a very busy v/o guy after all.)

Even with Kitt and Warburton reprising their roles in the series, it hasn't been enough to keep me watching.

Oh I know I'll turn him into a flea a harmless little flea, and then I'll put that flea in a box, and then I'll put that box inside of another box and then I'll mail that box to myself and when it arrives, I'll smash it with a hammer!!!

Man I love this movie, I watch it whenever I need a good laugh and I wish Disney would make more of these movies.
