something tells me that 4 seasons might be just about right with a nice 2 hr movie to wrap things up (a REAL movie not just the first episode put on DVD and CALLED a movie)

I say do it like The Simpsons: just keep it up for as long as the creative team wants to do it.

I think The Simpsons is a perfect example of a show that has gone on too long. Shows should stop when they are still good, imho. Unfortunately, one never knows how many seasons it will take for a show to go downhill or "jump the shark".

I want it to continue for as long as they can produce good stories. If that's forever, then great. But I don't want JL to turn into something like the Simpsons which has gone downhill in recent years and sort of tarnishes the memory.

IMO Seinfeld was a good example of quitting at the right time, leaving the crowd wanting more. It left TV still going strong (except for the last couple of episodes anyways. )

I'd want a minimum of at least 65 episodes ,then if JL is still kicking butt, as far as they can go with it . I'll be in heaven if we could get 100+ episodes of JL! :D

The show should run for at least 4 seasons.

I would like to see atleast 7 seasons, maybe more. There's alot of potential with the show because there are so many storylines that could be done.

i would like to see it go through generations, like u said it has so many possibilites

but i think say after 4 seasons, they should stop the current 7 memebers and have some sort of middle movie or 3/4 parter that shows a coming of new members
Wonder Women could go back to her land
Green Lanturn could have some situation and decides he can no longer hold the respondsibility and thus gives the ring to someone else
Super/Bats/Manhunter will always be there
but new people like Green Arrow, Fate, Canary..etc. are welcome
This could also be a good time for Aquaman to join
and they could give it a sub-title for the series like
Justice League: The New Era

This way they keep the show fresh with more new characters ..etc.
and this could last for 2 or 3 seasons
ending with a 2 or 3 parter that with all the heros coming together to fight off a galatic criminal...can u say ..Darkseid?
It would be a cool "epic fight" with Darkseid, his minions and the injustice teaming all up to face off with a big group of heros, around say 12 or 10??

There are really endless stories to tell with JL. They have the whole DC universe to work with here. DC has been telling stories for like 65 years, and they're still going. I think they should keep making episodes as long as their are still fans interested in watching these characters. And I guess ratings count too.

Yeah, but, in those 65 years of storytelling, how many times has DC Comics recycled their storylines, "started over", or did soap-opera like stuff (i.e., Batman's back gets broken, but he... gets better?!? Superman comes back from the dead?!? etc.).

I think that, once Dini & Timm have cleaned out all the recycled and garbage storylines (and gotten rid of the ridiculous characters -- for example, I always thought Krypto the Superdog was real "Superfriends" type mish-mash), I think they'll be able to put together 3, maybe 4 strong seasons. :)

My thoughts have already been said... for as long as they want to do it and can keep it fresh. But, for some reason, four seasons of 26 eps each sounds right to me.

I want JL to go on as long as possible. I like the idea of changing the team every 2-3 seasons, though. Super Friends did that, and it ran for over 10 years.

I think you'd almost have to lose a member though. Seven members seems unweildy, and more than that would be nigh-impossible. Personally, I'd have John give the ring to someone else, and lose Flash. Six members on the team seems like it would work better. Then again, I have yet to actually *see* Justice League, so I might feel differently once I see Flash on the show. Alot of folks seem to like him there.

I like the idea of Green Arrow, Black Canary, and such folks, but I'm not sure they're super-powered enough for JL. Aquaman should join, though, as well as Orion.

My dream JL would probably be Supes, Bats, Wondy, Orion (for the military-style role currently filled by John), Martian Manhunter, & Barda. If I went to seven members, I'd have the STAS-style GL (Kyle), to provide the comic relief. The Wondy here would be the more naive, princess type, while Barda would be the tough, battle-hardened one. I dunno, though, I might swap Barda out for Supergirl or Batgirl, and let Wondy remain the lead female character. The main problem with both of them, though, is that they are protoges of Bats and Supes, and so they can easily become redundant.

The nice thing about adding Orion & Barda in is that it gives Darkseid a reason to get his foot in the door again. And as we all know, Darkseid is the best villain around (aside from *maybe* Joker- depends on when you ask me :-), so it can't hurt the show to have him on there.

And the idea for the epic battle may be coming sooner than you think. Supposedly they're working on something w/Darkseid for season two, and personally I can't think of anything that could top Legacy except for an epic battle. And the only thing that would make Darkseid risk coming back to Earth would be an all-out invasion. He's not going to risk his neck again unless he has a good chance of winning.

Anyway, that's my two cents!
Later,

After the 30-Apr-1992 airing of Three Men and a Comic Book, a brief Simpsons clip was shown.

Close-up of the Simpsons television. A picture of Bill Cosby, with the legend, "The Cosby Show / 1984-1992". Muses Homer, "Little Theo. You grew up before our eyes." Bart asks, "Hey, Dad. How come they're taking The Cosby Show off the air?" Homer answers, "Because Mr. Cosby wanted to stop before the quality suffered."

Quality, schmality! If I had a TV show, I'd run that sucker into the ground!
-- Bart learns of the demise of 'The Cosby Show'

Homer pats Bart on the back. "Amen, boy. Amen."

is probably going to run for 5 or more 26 episodes season. I think this because JL is that it on CN, and not on CBS, ABC, FOX, or WB. JL is on a network that is completely devoted totally cartoon programming unlike aftermentioned who only cartoon blockes are in Morning, Afternoon, and on Saturday mornings. The CBS cartoons are from Nick Jr. ABC has some good cartoons, but their cartoons are only on the Saturday mornings. FOX does know to make good cartoon anymore. The WB just need cartoons to eat up time until they show their countless Pokemon episodes. The other networks have had problem sustaining animated show for more two or three years. I think because JL is on CN it will last longer than 5 or more. If JL was on any other network I would say that JL would last 3 season at the most.

As long as the shows are still fresh and vibrant and they don't start repeating themselves.

The show could last for awhile and still be good.

maybe they might even re-release some toys from the total justice line, who knows!!

I'd like to see 7 seasons. There are more than enough stories and guest characters for that.

Heck, maybe even a 4 part Final Night episode. :)

This show could go on for a long time because the beauty of it is that they can take away and add characters not a problem. like i wouldnt mind hawk girl being replaced with some other girl or they could add a character. plus there are many villian plus the in-justice league
