Well, I'll be glad if they spend little to no time about games. That's what the rest of G4 is for.
It's probably not going to happen, but I really want the show to just go back to a full technology/computers format, none of this internet pop culture stuff.
btw, whatever happened to the morning episodes of the Canadian Call for Help?
well its been constantly changing, i mean now they do recaps of other shows like 24, lost and many reality shows?
i expect it to become more like that. G4 is not even a videogame channel and hasn't been for a long time.
So, why did Sarah Lane leave again? Did she get fired, or was there some animosity behind the scenes? And did Brendan leave too?
Not that I'm complaining, as Ms. Dunn is more than a worthy replacement.

G4 didn't find it "cool enough" to be on their channel as opposed to Banzai and other garbage they like picking up.

Yeah seriously, I'm surprised most G4-related content such as "Banzai comes to G4" or "Star Trek 2.0" (which if I were a Star Trek fan, I'd find the most brain-dead concept ever!) are posted here. Unless it's about X-Play, or E3/TGS coverage or if they miraculously air something VG-related, then that'd be fine. But we might as well just start posting G4's self-destroying decisions in the Entertainment Boards. I used to keep my faith in the channel, highly praise their good decisions, etc. but ever since the announcement that Icons was becoming more than a gaming biography show (although I didn't mind the episodes about Frank Miller and George Romero), my hate grew on an F5 scale.
MTV took at least 15 or more years to completely minimize the music content on the channel while G4 only took around 4 years, that's pathetic!

Or impressive, if you look at it in a different aspect. But not really.

Impressive if you want to say it "evolved," but has it really got much bigger or better? (Well for G4's side, some people at my college found it cool that they were airing "The Man Show.") But the reason I say it's pathetic is because it took MTV a very long time to ditch their music-dedicated format, it was very successful the way they were running it. Sure they added Beavis and Butthead, Real World, and a few other non-music programs, but the channel was very dedicated to music and those shows for quite awhile did not disrupt good playing times for music videos or music coverage. I'm speaking for them a decade ago, now I can't defend the crappy channel that makes a new reality show everyday, plays sniplets of music on TRL (not very good of music might I add), and has a show fully dedicated to "Yo Momma" jokes.
G4 on the otherhand, didn't do very well on the video game format at all. They had some pretty good shows (Icons, Pulse, G4tv.com wasn't too bad), since the ratings and viewership were low, they bought TechTV for more homes. Xplay and two other Tech TV shows were reported the top 3 shows on the channel, showing they could have tried to be different with gaming and tech, but nope they cancelled a good majority of the shows, changed TSS to AOTS, realized they were still doing bad, got desperate and became Spike TV-lite. They weren't originally sucessful with the format, I don't hear that much mention of G4 from people, and I'm wondering how the channel's viewership is? I doubt it improved that much, if at all.

Given that they've more or less canned anime too, I'd say they've gone and killed off any fanbase they had atall.

Im watching the mash-up right now. Man, Sarah's replacement is such a bad interviewer. I feel kind of sorry for her, she's obviously new to the game.
