LOS ANGELES (AdAge.com) -- The King is about to go Rambo. Burger King and Microsoft are partnering for a first-of-its-kind deal that will build three video games around the restaurant chain's ubiquitous mascot, putting him into shoot'em-ups that will be a cross between "Halo" and "Destroy All Humans." The deal was first reported on gamer Web site Kotaku.com, though details were confirmed independently by Advertising Age.

(Reads article, brain is broken to the point where all he can do is yell loudly in Kobaian)

DA ZEUHL WORTZ MEKANIK, DA ZEUHL WORTZ MEKANIK ZEUHLWORTZ, WI WI ESS ESS DO WORITSTO WAHN...

(Recovers sanity somewhat)

Whew...this has to be a joke, right?

If its really like Destroy All Humans with the King, then that would be a comedy goldmine.

He's freaky as all hell, but not only do I get the feeling the first of his commercials were meant like that, including his design, but they definately know he's "unintentionally" funny, and making some great commercials.

Hey, I like funny commercials. Give me the Geico Gecko over most movie ads after I've already seen each 1 million times over.

Wow...that'll be the scariest game EVER.

Well? WHERE IS HE?!?!

Heh.... in all honesty, that sounds like a damn funny game. I wouldn't be surprised if people bought it just for the novelty.

The first game will be little more than a full screen picture of the King's face called "Stare Down The King"; it will take-up approximately 6 GB of hard drive space.

I LOVE THE KING.

I'd definitely get this game if it had GC version, which I'd doubt.

Maybe they'll make a game like Super Mario Brothers were the King has to save the Princess (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v480/ultralink/Cosplay%20stuff/18ocn_328.jpg).

And it would even appeal to some anime fans.

There is history for this; at least I remember playing a game on the NES based on the Noid (Domino's anyone?).

If the execution is good, this could be awesomely hilarious. And I can't wait for the sequel where The King teams up with Dr. Angus.

Cool Spot (7-UP) was pretty fun, too.

Yes, they could call it "Burger Time" and make it a licenced remake

a Squad based FPS, to destroy the evil armies of the Hotdog, Pickle and Egg

Yes food mascots have been getting games for a long time. The 7-Up dot got a few games, so did Chester Cheetah, the Noid, Ronald McDonald, Kool-Aid Man, the M&M's cast, the California Raisins almost got one but it was never released, and that's about all that I know of.

Cool Spot (7-UP) was pretty fun, too.

I remember playing a game called Spot Goes to Hollywood, and it was one of my first PS1 games.

And I remember sitting there, playing it, and thinking to myself, What is this crap?

I never played that one, but the Genesis/SNES game was entertaining.

Well, at least it was when I was 12.

Cool Spot was awesome, Chester Cheetah was fun back in the day, that Ronald game was pretty damn cool (Treasure made it after all), Kool-aid man had one?

I've seen the M&M's games, but never played any and yeah I heard about the Califronia Raisins title.

I saw an episode of Icons where Purina Dog Chow company actually made games, lol. But yes, I cannot wait for this Burger King game.

Yeah the Kool-Aid guy got two back in 1983 on the Atari 2600 and Intellivision.
