I have a feeling this has been brought up here before - because it's such a natural for a Disney film. It would rock IMO if a movie were made based on the game. It could be the greatest crossover toon since Roger Rabbit. I wish Disney would consider this. I think it would be a huge hit.

I think Square Enix wants to make a CGI movie.

A CG movie (a la Advent Children) would rock! I think that it'd be cool if they made it into an anime series (one of those serious ones with all the cool detailed artwork, like the ones that play on [adult swim]).

Whoa, I can see it now: Anime versions of Goofy, Donald and Mickey! WHOO! :D And the show's producers could hire Bleedman to design them! ;)

Cool, thanks. Has the project been confirmed, do you know?

Yes, of course! Bleedman will design them! And John Williams will do the music! Hell, let's bring in Speilberg!

All sarcasm aside, this could be interesting if done correctly. I just don't want a LLLOOOOOLLLzz!!1 4Kids dubz!!1 type thing going on, if they do ever get around to making it. There's already a manga, so why not go further?

I remember something along the lines of that Disney didn't want to make it (Possibly because it portrays their characters darker than they usually are).

But if a movie WAS made, how would they make the worlds interesting to watch. I don't want them to end up using clips from the movies with Sora, Donald, and Goofy digitally inserted.

The worlds I figure they HAVE to use to move the story along are: Destiny Islands (Duh), Traverse Town (Duh), Wonderland (Alice is one of the princesses), Agrabah (Jasmine is one of the seven princesses), Monstro (Riku is in it), Neverland (Riku and Malificent are in it), Hollow Bastion (It plays an important role in the story), and End of the World (It ends the story). Kingdom Hearts 2 on the other hand... the only level they could cut out would be Atlantica.

Random KH-related rant (If you want to leave, go now):
I figured Deep Jungle (the Tarzan level) would be definently removed because

1. It wasn't in the Manga (Then again, quite a few of the worlds didn't make the cut).
2. It was the ONLY Disney world that wasn't re-visited to in Chain of Memories.
3. It wasn't refered to in Kingdom Hearts 2 (of course, it fueled NOTHING to the story anyways)
Though, this may be because of the Tarzan copyrights.

I've personally never played the games but I know what it is and what it involves and here's how I would do it:

A combination of CGI and Traditional animation. Human characters and CGI Disney characters (Chicken Little) animated in CGI and classic Disney characters traditionally animated.

I personally don't think Mickey Mouse and the classic Disney characters look right in CGI... I mean, I know they have to do it for a game but for a movie it could be different...

That's how I would do it...

Chicken Little

You DO realize we're talking about Kingdom Hearts, not Kingdom Hearts 2, right?

After watching the Aladdin/Hercules cross-over episode, i came up with an idea for a similar movie. Basically it was Aladdin, Hercules, Mulan, a time-traveling Tarzan and a very young Merlin teaming up to battle an evil in the ancient world. I think it couldve worked.

I sure wouldn't want a KH movie until they started putting Gargoyles in the games.

Actually, I think the CG Disney characters looked really good in this game. I think that this and Mickey's Philharmagic are the only places CG Disney look good. And about the Bleedman designed people, what I meant was to make it like the manga series, where the Disney characters are drawn normal, and the original/Final Fantasy characters look like anime. The whole show'd be animated like an anime show, with the cool drawings and lighting and stuff.:gir:

Sounds like the Disney's League of Heroes idea that I've come up with, only there is no time crossing. The Disney League base of operations would be the Magic Kingdom, and the team roster would feature Hercules, Aladdin, Jasmine, Mulan, Ariel (empowered by the energy of a magical sea amulet), Peter Pan and maybe the Beast. They protect the Magic Kingdom from the Disney Villains (some resurrected by Hades).

Hey, it could happen. :anime:

Anime/manga style just doesn't fit with Nomura's art.

I like the game

I think it would make for a good CGI movie/series.....
but they would have too make the story a little simpler and more stream-lined.

There is a lot of useless talking...too much metaphoric meaning. I mean how many time do they have too say the word 'heart'. I get the story is about heart...but they say the word so damn much it looses meaning sometimes. hehe

sorry...just venting.

and what was with that Ansem turning into a giant pink spaceship at the end. Thats kinda came outta no where.

Ansem's final form is pretty much one of those video game cliches were the final boss morphs into some sort of monstrous creature. It's either that or becoming half naked and sprouting wings.

Yeah, now that I see the comics again, you're right. What I really meant to say, from the beginning, is to make it look like the game covers. Everyone is drawn right there. I think that'd look good. :zim:

I think they should make a series.
I remember, several years ago they were going to make a movie to celebrate Mickey's anniversary, where Minnie hires the Great Mouse detective to look for him, (who's been supposedly kidnapped), and they'd end up in different Disney movies.
One of the reasons the project got canned was because it would just showcase a bunch of Disney characters making cameos with no strong plot.

That kind of thing would work in a series, but not a movie.

They can't really do a KH movie, they're too busy with Cinderella 3, Lion King 44 1/4, Snow White Begins and such.

So true. Xemnas' final form in KH2 is more unique (him just looking normal but know having a hideous looking black-and-white coat on.)

You have a very narrow-minded view of Disney if you think it's all "cheap-quels". In fact, it seems as if Disney's trying to get out of that rut, what with merging with Pixar, hiring back some other their best workers, and such.

I would definetely want to watch a Kingdom Hearts TV series or movie. But the Gargoyles should be involved.

As long as KH is animated,I don't care who produces it.If 4Kids produced it,fine. If some generic animator produced it,fine.Just don't let it be live-action,PLEASE!Don't let the KH movie be "OMG LOL!!!!1111!!!! Letz Make Dis Live Action N Butcher The St0ry Like We Butchered Fat Albert N Flinst0nez N Josie & PussyCatz N Like We're G0nna Butcher UnderD0g!"

I'd rather have the 4Kids dubbing any day!Just don't let Hollywood butcher anymore cartoons or video games by making them cheap live-action rip-offs!
