Yeah, I know, supposedly there was already an episode called Dilemma, but that one was really called Locked. So saying, here's the talkback for the new episode.

On this adventure of the Dojo crew: The gang takes a well deserved night off and heads out to a party. Unfortunately, Bedlam wants to get to an artifact that's behind a door only Ed can open, so his robots crash the party. They nab Ed and Deets, after which Bedlam uses Deets as a bargaining chip to get Ed to do what he wants.

This ep was great! If you were wondering where the Ed/Deets shipping went, well this was your episode. They weren't exactly lovey dovey, but they did bond a lot. And then there was the whole bit at the end.

They also made it a point to show off just how much of a jerk Bedlam is, what with him not caring if Ed destroyed Crouch, and his little speech about how friendship, affection and loyalty are useless. This goes both ways however, so I thought it was amusing that Spyker and Crouch pretty much abandoned him when the ancient building started falling apart.

And Ed, well, he did something I figured he'd probably end up doing eventually. When the crap hit the fan, and it looked like Ed and Deets could get away safely, he just couldn't leave and went back to try and save Bedlam. Yeah, it's a cliched sort of heroic thing to do, but I was hoping Ed would do it anyway. In fact, I'm betting he does it again in the two parter if things go really bad for Bedlam . . .

Speaking of the two parter, we got the promo for that tonight, too. Can you say DAMN?! Bedlam's willing to go so far as to change himself completely just to be able to have power like Ed's. For some reason I'm not seeing a good end to this . . . I'd imagine the Caretaker of the Machine is smart enough to tell the real Ed apart from Bedlam even if he does have similar DNA, so she probably won't hesitate to use whatever defenses are at her disposal. It'll either go like that, or it'll just be that Bedlam's genetic modifications don't hold up and he'll have to reverse it anyway. Ed will probably have to save Bedlam's life in either case, though.

See, now that's what we've been waiting for. Well, at least I have. The fight between Ed and Bedlam could have been a little more involved, but I enjoyed this episode more than any other thus far. I'm so glad the series finally met my expectations for its potential. Evil (and sadistic) Bedlam! New clothes! Combat! Sweet Ed/Deets moments! My interest in the series had been waning, but no longer.

10/10

^ That good?

Well, I don't have Toon Disney so I won't get to see it until Saturday. But if it's truly a good episode, then it'll rock for sure.

It's about my favorite so far. There seemed to be a string of filler episodes between the two parter and now, but hopefully things are back on track!

Yeah, this ep was good, and the two parter is going to rock. I hope they don't have Bedlam keep the transformation, though; I like his original character design better. Not that I don't like how Ed looks, it's just that hearing Bedlam's voice coming out of someone who looks like Ed is kinda creepy . . .

Gee, it feels like only a couple of new shows since the last season finally and they're advertizing one for next Saturday.

This was a good ep. Deets looked great in her outfit and add her flirting with Ed made it all very cute. Burn really showed a lack of facial expressions. Even at a party he seems unable to smile.

The hoversquirrels having a rave was a clever idea and I liked the music.

Bedlam sending Crouch to get clobered by the door defences not once but twice was a real scream, while I'm surprized this show went dark enough to show Bedlam actually torcher Deets. They always seemed to pullup short of inflicting pain except for Ed and he wasn't in his usual state of mind then. It adds some depth that I felt a little cheated out of in the show we first found out Deets used to be a Bedlam agent.

Spiker just walking away even after being ordered to block the door was completely unexpected and a nice touch. I didn't think he had any freewill programming at all.

This was a very good way to give the story and characters a more rounded feel and helps squash the E/I mush that was prevalent in the other eps this season. With a little more emotional polish to the characters they could bring this up from "fun animation" to "good show".

I also enjoyed this episode... I had to replay it this morning (it was that good).

Nevertheless, I still have to go out of my way to make sure that I see part one of the season finale this Monday... I'm shocked that Jetix has actually put out a good promotion for it. They won't be airing the whole thing on Friday, just to let you know. And, I still have to see "Locked." I got lazy for a week and missed it.

Truly, this episode was the cadillac of automobilesI liked that.

:rolleyes2 I have been waiting for this to happen for like ever! This episode is one of my favorites, so far. Ed and Deets were so cute holding hands, it just made me feel weird, in a good way if thats possible.
