Wild makes 10mil(estimate)

and i am happy about this, becauase not only did it get 4th palce, and scary movie 4 is in 1st, but the movie cost 80mil to make according to box office mojo, which are very accurate with their bo readings..

so rejoyce, we wont see a sequal, or a dtv sequal, or a tv show of this movie :D

Better scheduling might have helped. I'm guessing Disney had to release "The Wild" now - against "Ice Age 2" - because of a prior merchandising deal with McDonalds.

Oddly enough--- Friday, a parent and her young child came out of the theater early (I work at a movie theater) and she said her child couldn't handle a particular scene in the movie--- and was crying hard.

I would have thought it would be a fairly child-safe film, but even then-- something spooked the little one.

Ice Age has it's scary points, but no one has come out of there screaming yet.


I figure Wild may regain some ground because it's vacation week (here at least_ and we've seen a lot more children coming to see that because they've already seen Ice Age.
