Gonna start with the fifth double feature- another Pikachu adventure and then a longer one with the Twerps. All that was shown of either was concerning the second. There was a shot of "Ash"-co (no "Tracey") suspended in the night sky, lots of water... The director(?) appeared to give a description from Venice- maybe that's the setting? Hard to tell.

So there's part 1 of P2002 news. What else? Well, aside from a bit on movie 5, the Macy balloon of Pikachu this past Thanksgiving, and the lovely charming new Pokemon Center in NYC during the 12/30 primetime PokeSpecial (last year was the Mewtwo special)....

Pokemon Crystal anime. Is it a new season starting in April? Couldn't tell, but the preview for the 1/10/02 episode in Japan shows that "Ash" is 2 badges away from beating the Johto League, and there were shots of "Giovanni" and a Madam Boss. So it may be wrapping up. :(

Confirmed returning faces: "Elm", "Jenny" and "Joy".

The heroes?

Wakaba Town no Kenta (Kenta from the town that GSC starts off in). The Gold/Silver character and male option in Crystal. Exactly like the GB artwork. He has a Beedrill and the fully-evolved form of "Cyndaquil". Very deep voice, seeming older than "Ash".... A third Pokemon for him seems to be introduced during the show I watched.... Yellow, and sought by the Rockets (but I'll get to them in a bit)

Marina. The female option in the Crystal GB game. Pretty much identical to game art as well. She has "Croconaw"(1st form of "Totodile"), "Misdrevius"(sp?) and "Jigglypuff". Possibly same VA as "Misty" in Japan. A bit boy-crazy, from having pictures of "Lance"(he has red hair) to fawning over the [creepy] magic guy from the Crystal games. But she and Kenta do have *moments*...

Jiji? I wrote down his name, but I'm no mood to try and decipher it, so I just took something I heard him addressed as during the show. He looks like a younger Elm- rounder face, fuller hair but same style... So I'm guessing it's Elm-junior? He's got the last stage form of Chikorita and an intense crush on Marina.

And now for Rocketshipping! Couple things: no motto, no "blasting off" in the usual manner, and sleek grey mecha this time around. Also, there's a special nickname this pair has for Kenta: "hero boy"

Buso, as I heard him referred to... Blonde, muscular with slightly skrewed but short blonde hair. Wears sunglasses, a sleevesless shirt cut in the middle showing a tanktop... Shown using "Skarmory" and "Muk"

Bashibe, if I actually deciphered it right.... From far off, I saw bushy white hair tied back with some falling over the shoulders, and a garment that appeared to a long skirt. And then it spoke in a deep voice as the camera closed in, the R shirt looked really flat.. and half an hour into the show, I saw that Bashibe(?) was wearing extremely loose pants. He used a "Skarmory".

Also of note, the rival character from the GSC games appears in the opening. Doubt he'll have the same name I gave him. :D

Wow, thanks for the info. I can't get on to Bulbagarden, so I've been dying for spoilers. I do know though, that the Pokemon Crystal anime will NOT be a new show and/or season. It is just a Pokemon tv special, like Mewtwo Returns, that is supposed to be different. Raikou makes an appearence.

:D :D

(I can call other women that. Danielle needn't reach for the anvil she keeps nearby.) :D

So in this new season, are there any really juicy Jessy-focused eps? You know how psychologically fascinating I find her. I especially have to wonder about her mother and her relationship with Giovanni--possible office hanky-panky, conspiracy theories about her disappearance in the mountains, or at least some explanation as to who her father was. :wiggling eyebrows:

None that I know of. And most likely no. You know how the anime really doesn't like to exlpain mysteries.

Though there is one episode this season where she gets possessed by some ancient golden mask...um...though, that's really it.

:D :D

EDIT: Oh wait, you were probably asking RockItShipper.

So it is a one-shot? I was kinda confused by the whole thing having a theme song and all- even if some of it was reshoots of animation from the actual show, as I noticed while I showed parts to my little sister tonight.

Episode-wise... I'm still on the spot right before they meet back up with Hiroshi and Leon... Hopefully I should be eight episodes further by the end of the week. :)

"Jessie's" dad.... Supposedly, Miyamoto(the mom) said goodbye to her husband and daughter... There's no pictures of him in the Mewtwo CD drama- just purplette Miyamoto and a crying, pigtailed "chibi-Jessie"... So dad or a grandparent would be the other redhead in the family, even if wasn't Miya's husband. So as far as "Giovanni" goes- neither he nor his mother (a Rocket leader) are redheads. But "Lance" of the Elite 4 (a group of expert trainers that has included "Prima/Lorelei", "Bruno" and "Koga") is. He's got Vegeta-hair otherwise.

This just in. Pictures!
