On the last Dawn of the Duel, Yugi was able to assist Kaiba's early self at overcoming his father and free his soul with the assistance of the Blue Eyes White Dragon, but it was too late and the Blue Eyes was sealed in stone for the remainder of her life. Meanwhile Tristan revealed himself to be Bakura in disguise and confronted the rest of the gang, whom had just learned the Pharoah's name. Two duels are about to begin- one which could save the world, and the other which could destroy it. Now the adventure continues with Dawn of the Duel.

That is the greatest idea ever. I can't tell you how many shows I've watched where I've had similar thoughts. Stop playing within the rules that the bad guy makes up, and just go kick some rear.

Well, the Demon Zork has risen and his his owning all the duelists in Egypt. I hate how they keep zooming n to show Bakura and ht ePharoah's reactions to what is happening. The entire saga could have been shorter if they would be serious. Meanwhile Yugi is showing what a great duelists he can be. It's no wonder he is the King of Games. Bakura may rebound a bit, but Yugi's skills show why he will come out on top. It was a good part 1 overall.

Lil Yugi Vs. Bakura is great practice before the final episodes in the series.

The way the duel started off with both loosing large portions of lifepoints made it almost seem that the duel would be over this episode. Guess you cant count either one out so soon

Good episode here. The Pharoah ought to knock Bakura the hell out. That would certainly get him to do something.

Zorc has arrived and all heck is going to break loose. Yugi and Bakura's duel looked like it was going to end in one episode but that was not to be. Looking forward to the second episode of this five-parter.

I haven't been catching up on YuGiOh lately, but I DO wanna see the last match of the entire series. Does anyone know when that happens or for that matter, how many episodes are left to air in the US?

Oh, the Zorc edit was more apparant this episode. Espeicially when he was fighting Exodia.

It seems 4Kids made the serpent-head thing that originally comes out between... Er... Zork's legs... Come out of his stomach by making the neck more thick. It looks funny, that for sure. It must've been hard as hell to edit.

Next week's episode looks like it's gonna be real good. Heh... And a real pain to edit Zorc. :sweat:

I'm still trying to figure out who imagined Yugi's deck, because he's barely holding on. And yes, Zorc's second head... yeah, that's in an unsightly place. :sweat:

What appeared to be a weak deck is getting the job done for Yugi. He's got some mad skills that show exactly why the Pharoah bonded with him. Elsewhere Grandpa, or his ancestor anyway, summoned Exoida and basically collapsed even though Exoida and Zorc appeared equal. Now we'll get the see all 3 Egyptian Gods in action, and the conclusion of the Yugi/ Bakura duel. It's been entertaining so far, so let's see what 4K!ds has edited and changed this week.

That was because of the card that Yugi played where he had to keep drawing cards. If you're unable to follow through with a card effect, you do automatically lose the duel.

No. Zork is the dark being that possessed Bakura by hiding in the Millenium Compass. Zork hid himself in the Millenium Compass just as the Pharoah did in the Millenium Puzzle. It's clear in the manga that Bakura is just a regular kid, much like Yugi and the gang.

To clarify what I said yesterday, if you watch yesterday's episode, Bakura says Yugi will lose the game as soon as his turn ends. Why? He can no longer draw any cards, so he won't be able to discard the 11 cards to the graveyard that the card effect would require, hence he will automatically lose much like what happened in Battle City. Yugi still gets to play his monster beforehand though and any special abilities it has, so if Bakura loses his life points before Yugi's turn ends, then Yugi will win the duel. If Bakura doesn't lose all his life points before the end of Yugi's turn, then Yugi loses the duel.

It will have to be made clear this week. It has been announced that Part 5 will not be called The Dark One Cometh as the others have been. Instead, we'll get our first identical title. The fifth part is called "In The Name of the Pharoah" for both the Japanesse and English versions. I plan on doing a talkback for all of the May and June episodes together (mostly because the last 4 episodes have been given the name "The Final Duel- Parts 1 thru 4") , so this week will be the last one for "The Dark One Cometh."

They've been releasing a minimum of 6 per year (every 2 monoths), and when they do the 1 1/2 month release which they do occassionally, then it's up to 8 per year. With the increased episode count they've done, I really don't care if they speed up the releases, but they should release more box sets like they did with the first season.

Seeing Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon was fairly cool, and it looked like he actually had a shot against Zorc. Yugi should have summoned the Egyptian Gods again instead of combining with Blue Eyes. That would have been more satisfying for me, especially if Exoidia came up as well. I give it a 4 out of 5. Now bring on the finale of this duel and The Final Duel- both of which will be available in a different talkback starting next week.
