What if Marvel decided to make a 4th Spider-Man movie, but this time it'll feature IceMan and FireStar, who would you cast to play them? For me:

Bobby Drake/IceMan: Ethan Embry
Angelica Jones/FireStar: Marguerite Moreau or Maria Kanellis (of WWE)

1. They are making a fourth film, but it's being shot back to back with the third.

2. ...Really, as much of a Spider-Freinds fans as I am, they were irrelevant to the comics, heck they did not even exist, why bring them in now?

There was a rumor saying that Spider-Man will transform into a big spider-monster in SM 4

Why would they waste a film on the Man-Spider stuff? There's no plausibility to it. Take what you read anywhere with several grains of salt.

Really? Is that the official word? Because Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst (not to mention Sam Raimi) are only contracted for number three, and then that's it. I would think they would want to make it a rounded story by the end of the third film; sort of like a writer and artist's run on a comic book.

Ok, we need to see harry loose it completely!!! And with Sandman that seems hard yet not impposible. However I think they need to cut it out after the third one (And if they ever make a spider-friends movie I want ashmore in that one no matter how much I hate him (C'mon he's not the kind of guy for Rogue yet Rogue is not the kind of Rogue not the comics nor the Evos one) Because I always wanted come logic they are all in the same universe no matter if different studios made the dfferent films and I want Ashmore)

It's rumoured that the movie will end with a big showdown between Spidey, Venom, Green Goblin and Sandman, which would be awesome if true.

Anyway, to get this on to the topic of Marvel Animation, I wonder if Spidey 3 will get any kind of animated series or DTV to go with it? I'm not sure who has the rights to animated Spidey, so is a Lion's Gate one along the lines of Ultimate Avengers out of the question?

Uh.....

Please post the source where you heard that Spider-man 3 is shooting back to back with Spider-man 4...... thanks.

If it's true, then rock on. If not, damn you for posting filthy lies!

edit: I now see the "What if..." above..... teehehehe

i would love 6 movies...but it's being a bit ambicious in all honesty. Especialy considering how long they take to make...im sure the actors wouldnt want to be tied down for such a period of time.

Also i hope venom doesn't look stupid in number 3....hulk in the film for example is a terrible computer generated character.

Just to keep the intent of this thread painfully clear, or in other words, to ensure that this thread is relevent to Marvel Animation:

Please keep discussion focused on casting live action roles to Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends characters, if they were to be adapted in a fourth Spider-Man movie.

What would the tone of the film be, would it be campy or should it be played straight?

Would any live action actor compare to the awesome voice of Frank Welker?

Any discussion/speculation about Spider-Man 3 should go in The Official Spider-Man 3 Movie News and Rumors Thread (Spoilers) (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=131219&page=20) on the Entertainment Board.

casting live action roles to Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends characters I likes me some continuity. I'm not a big fan of Maguire or Ashmore...but it would be ultra-cool to use the same actors and make it feel like a shared universe. As for Firestar...too many to choose from. I'd probably go with a really sexy, charismatic unknown. But if I had to choose a known actress, I think I'd say Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars). I know most people would pick someone red-headed, but that's too limiting....just dye their hair red. Bell has a perfect personality for the role.

What would the tone of the film be, would it be campy or should it be played straight?
Whoa now! Why the heck are we asking this? The cartoon was played just as straight as the two Spidey movies (at least, the GOOD episodes were). It had humor in it, more so than the movies because of Peter and Bobby's banter, but I'd certainly say the movies had as many campy moments as the cartoon. FINAL ANSWER: Same tone, more humor than the first two movies.

Would any live action actor compare to the awesome voice of Frank Welker?
Heck, no. Welker's voice is absolutely perfect for a comedy role.

I agree. Let's just keep it the way the topic is suppose to be, and that's who would good or great to play Iceman and FireStar, if they ever plan to make a fourth Spidey movie.

Why not just keep in Ashmore from the X-Men movies? It would create a neat little connection between the Spider-Man and X-Men movie franchises. I could see a problem coming up with both of the feature film series being owned by different companies. Fox has X-Men while Sony has Spider-Man. Have they ever called Bobby "Iceman" in the X-Men movies?

Specifically, no, but if they were to try and use the character without possessing the movie rights, the very effort of making the character recognizable as Iceman, Ashmore or no Ashmore, would open them up to a legitimate lawsuit from Marvel/Fox for using a character without the proper authorization.

My heart will be broken if it's not Ashmore...I don't like the movieverse Iceman I said that before but it has to be him, they all live in the same universe. That was the amazing part of the 90's series in X-men we had Thor and SPidey and in Spidey we had X-men Blade Puni whoever.
But then again even in X-men they changed Kitty once (Or twice im not sure) and (I'm not sure of that) even Pyro and Jubilee.
So in a second thinking I don't care who plays the super friends maybe a little reference in the movie could work better like when in the FF movie they talk of Franklin or in Blade they show a comic or the famous yellow spandex dialogue of Cyclops.

Your heart will live. This is all just random speculation. The chances of any X-Men character appearing in a non-X-Men movie are nonexistant, as are the chances of an actual Spider-Friends movie.

Yeah, and that could very well be true, but time is a freaky thing. Who knows what future dealings and ideas are going to bring. I remember being all nervous when the first movie came out, because its popularity got rumors going about Spiderman 2 and 3, except Sam Raimi was only going to be on board for Spiderman 2.

I know but if our freakin fantasies ever get into the real world it has to be Ashmore.

I can't remember myself but what type of villains were featured in Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends. I assume the regular comic book villain crowd? Were there any created just for the show?

I can't say I find that name familair. I assume this show had a fair mix of villains from the comics and some created specifically for the show right?

If I remember my Spanish, enjambre is a conjugation of the verb enjambrar, meaning "to swarm or collect into a hive". Might you be thinking of the villain the Swarm, who was an alien entity comprised of sentient bees?

Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends mainly used villains from the comics. None of them were especially deep and they weren't allowed to be violent, but, like the show, the majority of them were fun. I didn't care for thier version of Dr. Doom, however. This is where my site bios would come in handy, had my HD not crashed and deleted them all. Grrr!

I would probably hate it if it ever actually happened, but I say keep Shawn Ashmore as Iceman and then cast Natalie Portman as Firestar.
