Spoilers are incase some of you haven't read any Season 2 summaries.
1. Is the Soul Hunter a character from the comics, based on a comic character or an animated exclusive?
2. With Thanos out of the way for most of Season 2 and Terrax being in a few episodes, Mephisto would have been the next major foe, for the surfer:
Who could be used for possible threats to the Surfer had future episodes been made?
My money would be on Overlord (1st appeared Silver Surfer #6 Volume 1).
3. Has Larry Brody mention a specific story for the unscripted Season 2 Episodes 9-13? So all that's known about it would be the animated introduction of Captain Marvel, further appearance of Mephisto (Who appears in Down To Earth Part 3) and possibly the revenge of Shalla-Bal.
