Hit Series "X-Men: Evolution," "Jackie Chan Adventures" And "The Mummy" Among top 10 Programs for 4th Quarter 2001 In Boys 2-11 And Boys 6-11
BURBANK, CA (January 7, 2002) ó Kids' WB! dominated the 4th Quarter 2001 as the #1 broadcast and cable network for Boys 6-11 (5.0/22). The top-rated network also finished #1 among the broadcast competition in Kids 2-11 (3.0/13), Kids 6-11 (3.6/16) and Boys 2-11 (4.2/18) for the third consecutive year. Among Kids 2-11, Kids' WB! outperformed Fox Kids (2.0/9), ABC (1.7/8) and CBS (1.6/8).
For the quarter, which is the most important period of the year in kids' broadcasting, Pokémon: Johto League Champions, at 10:00 a.m. ET, captured the #1 Saturday morning program spot among all competition, including cable, in Boys 2-11 (5.4/20) and Boys 6-11 (6.5/25). The animé series also ranked as the #8 program among Kids 2-11 (4.0/15) and Kids 6-11 (4.7/18). Among the broadcast competition, Pokémon: Johto League Champions finished as the #1 program in Kids 2-11 and Kids 6-11.
Kids' WB! led the broadcast and cable competition with six of the top 10 programs in Boys 6-11 and six of the top 10 broadcast programs in Kids 2-11. The additional top 10 broadcast programs for the 4th Quarter were:
<li> In its 10:30 a.m. ET time period, X-Men: Evolution ranked as the #2 broadcast program in Kids 2-11 (3.7/14), Kids 6-11 (4.3/17) and Boys 2-11 (4.8/18), and as the #3 broadcast program in Girls 2-11 (2.5/10), tying with Pokémon: Johto League Champions, and Girls 6-11 (3.0/12), tying ABC's "Disney's Lloyd in Space." The teenage mutant series took the #3 program spot among all competition in Boys 6-11 (5.5/21) and finished among the top 10 broadcast and cable programs in Kids 2-11 (#10), Kids 6-11 (#9) and Boys 2-11 (#5).
<li> Jackie Chan Adventures, at 9:00 a.m. ET, garnered a 5.8/24 in Boys 6-11 to rank as the #2 broadcast and cable program and ranked #7 among Boys 2-11 (4.7/19), tying Nickelodeon's "Hey Arnold" (4.7/21). Among the broadcast competition, the comedy-adventure series finished as the #3 program in Kids 2-11 (3.4/14), Kids 6-11 (4.1/18) and Boys 2-11.
<li> The breakout hit series The Mummy, in its 9:30 a.m. ET time period, posted an impressive 5.2/20 in Boys 6-11 to rank as the #4 program among all competition, tying with Nickelodeon's "Hey Arnold" (5.2/23). Placing #9 in Boys 2-11 (4.4/16) among the broadcast and cable competition, the high-adventure series also took the #4 broadcast program spots in Kids 2-11 (3.2/12), Kids 6-11 (3.7/15) and Boys 2-11.
