*after 5 min of pure silent staring....*
John Delaney is a GREAT human being! I wasn't expecting anything like this, a simple pose of Batman would've been good enough for me. But since he raised my expectations he can't just do a pose for anyone anymore :p :D

Wow...totally not what I expected. I mean, the "sketch" part kinda threw me off a bit...definately not an ordinary sketch. Great work.

very beautiful sketch. mr. delaney's time and effort is very much appreciated to do something like this for the fans.
like others i wasnt expecting anything like the piece. i was expecting something very rough penciled where the stick figure was still visiable and all. joker is an excellent bonus. what i want to know now is the story behind that final frame. what did the joker try to do? how did the bat take him down? imagination is neat.

I believe John wanted to do a little something extra special for the first sketch, so he inked it and everything. Cool, huh?

Wow...now THIS is what the art in Gotham Adventures should look like. I must say, John, my hat goes off to you. You did a perfect job here. It's a great mix of your style and Timms. I especially like the shading you put on Joker.

Amazing job!
I love the shading and detail
it's great to see how much you went into it like the claw marks on his legs,
the bullet holes on the cape
Keep up the fantastic work!

Though it looks like he'll lost the vote, I would still love to see a Delaney Superman pic.
Either TAS or JL version.
Or could even do mainline and give him the black-background sheild. :)

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am in shock!!! I, too was just expecting a pose. To get two for the price of one is so cool! And the Joker!! What a bonus! This has got to be the coolest thing ever for Toonzone to do! I absolutely love this idea. Any chance that this picture would work as an avatar??? j/k

The deal has been "inked". Sweet!
I don't know who "The Question" is, but I really want to see it, when you are so eager to draw it, John.
After all the DC characters, a new spin on Spider-man could turn out great! If that mangaverse version of Spider-man is any indication.

John,
That sketch is great. Like otehrs have said, it's much more than I had expected, with the inking and everything. I wish my inking skills were that good!
I really am looking forward to the (possible) Batgirl sketch!
Hopefully we'll get a Superman-based poll here pretty soon. I'll have to email Harley........
Thanks again John!

I thought I'd throw a little color on this wonderful drawing. I kept the coloring and shading flat, more like the animated versions. I love what the others have done, though!

Nice Job! May I suggest a small blueish shadow on the front of Joker's face to compliment the cool shadoe work on Bats?

It's the John Delaney Coloring Book! :D
Delaney's sketches: Truly a gift that keeps giving (at least, when you've got Nightflower and WolfKnyght and Domino helping out!)
If it hasn't been done already, I think one of The Drawing Board Mods should put up a thread over there where these great coloring jobs could be put together in one place.
