Last week's episodes had some issues, though I believe these were much more well-rounded and I feel that they were certainly superb in terms of overall quality, though I know as a fan of the series my tastes can be somewhat bias, though I hope some additional people will have managed to watch these, as I'm curious as to whether or not this episode would have been well received.

Episode Summaries

Aunti Dote: When Brandy & Mr. Whiskers wake up to discover their tree house is a mess, they decide to seek professional assistance in Auntie Marla. However, when Auntie Marla turns out to be the best thing that has ever happened to the two of them, they decide to use drastic measures in order to keep her coming back to the tree house each day.

Curses!: When Brandy purchases an amulet from Gaspar in order to convince Mr. Whiskers that she is an excellent bargain shopper, she becomes dismayed over the fact that the amulet is cursed. However, when Gaspar refuses to take the cursed amulet back, Brandy must convince another individual to take the amulet from her or else she'll spend the rest of her life with a foul specter who haunts her day and night.

My Thoughts, Spoilers

I personally believe these episodes were much better than last weeks; I feel that these episodes had a very interesting plot, though it was the way those plots were resolved which was the most impressive. One of my favorite things about Brandy & Mr. Whiskers is in how the episodes usually resolve themselves in a very unique fashion, so even when the episodes' plots are somewhat cliche, the episode usually balances itself out towards the end. These episodes really proved to show such and I particularly enjoyed the nature in which Aunti Dote ended, as Auntie Marla's comments were very well done, though I also enjoyed the semi-touching scene between Brandy and Whiskers, though Whiskers' antics ended the episode on a different tone.

I also enjoyed the other various scenes in these episodes, such as Brandy thinking back to her owner in Aunti Dote, as very little information is known about her owners. Even though this episode just showed his hand, it still helps us understand Brandy's existence in the world, as even though she can communicate with humans and wear clothes, she was still sitting down like a dog while her owner was patting her head... Though considering Brandy's anthropomorphic nature, I suppose such things could be considered awkward.

Regardless, I believe these episodes should do good things for the series and they were certainly better than last week's episodes. If you've managed to watch these episodes, feel free to reply and share your thoughts on their content.

I didn't watch them. But why does this series always have to have some mystical crap all the time? It's getting old.

I’m afraid that I don’t really know what it is that you’re trying to imply. I’ve seen every episode of Brandy & Mr. Whiskers that has aired in the United States and I can say that I haven’t seen too many episodes have a mystical plot of sorts. I think there may have been four eleven minute episodes that were mystical in nature, or maybe five, though there have been fifty-eight eleven minute episodes of the series so far. Perhaps my definition of mystical differs from your definition, though perhaps you can reply back and explain in more depth what exactly it is that frustrates you.

The one where Whiskers pulls the onion and is worshipped. The one with the monkey's paw. The one where Whiskers grows a second head. The one with the magic socks. And this week's, obviously. It's getting old.

I don't like the one with Whisker's brain, either. It's ridiculous.

I sincerely apologize, though I think your comments derive from the fact that you may not have seen too many episodes of the series. As I’ve said, there have been fifty-eight different eleven minute episodes of Brandy & Mr. Whiskers and only four or five of them have been mystical in nature. In truth, there have been more romantic episodes than mystical episodes of the series: ‘Cyranosaurus Rex’, ‘A Bunny on My Back’, ‘Wolfie: Prince of the Jungle’, ‘Loathe Triangle’, ‘What Price Dignity?! (Cheap!)’ and ‘Time For Waffles’. I suppose I’m rambling off the subject, though I personally don’t believe that there has been too many mystical episodes of Brandy & Mr. Whiskers.

I actually got to see the last episode. I enjoyed it a lot. However, I'm afraid that the series has been or is about to be canned, as the B&MW subsite thing has been removed from disneychannel.com. That would be a shame. B&MW is such a creative series...it really has improved a lot since the first few episodes.

That's true, too. Actually, I saw the entire first season. I've only seen one episode this season, and it was underwhelming.
