In the vein of Super Mario 3 beaten in 11 minutes:

Way to take advantage of a stair glitch that I never knew existed until now, too. ;)

20 minutes!? How the heck can you beat Super Mario Bros. 3 in 11 minutes? Well, if you use the warp whistles but Mario 64 in 20?

i agree. 20 minutes is quite short.

Much like the SMB in 5 minutes, they likely hacked the game first to make it go a bit faster.

Was that Bunny and the door thing a glitch too?

This just makes me wish everytime you uploaded a video on YouTube, there is a required field that makes you list the source of the video....

It seems like they abused a lot of programming glitches, and probably used an emulator to slow the game down (which makes it easier to pull off some tricks).

Still quite a feat... this person obviously knows the game's physics in and out.

Ahh, I saw that. Was "wowed" when I first saw it. Granted, he did use glitches, but he gets pure awesomeness for making Mario move like a friggin' ninja.

He was able to get stars in no time flat!

That was incredible!!

Who is this "Speedy Boris"? Well, whoever he is, he's got a good Russian name, and for that he can be my friend!

Wha? Who ever said they thought it was an April Fool's joke?

Game speedruns are commonplace. Heck, I saw this one months ago.

wait, what was the move he used to get up the endless stairs and go through the door to the clock room?

wait, what was the move he used to get up the endless stairs and go through the door to the clock room? Apparently if you do a Z-Jump forward and then quickly pull back and then tap jump repeatedly, Mario will rapidly jump backwards up the stairs so fast that it overrides the endless stairs. Very very odd glitch.

If you look to the right of the 16 minute Mario 64 speed run, you can also see the most shamless speed-run of all time. (The Link's Awakening one) ^_^

So I'm guessing that we'll be seeing Super Mario Sunshine at one point beaten in under a half hour as well right? I mean If it can only take 16 minutes for Super Mario 64 I think Sunshine would only take... at most (at that rate anyway) 25 minutes or something.

You should see the LTTP one. Going straight to the final triforce room from the first visit to hyrule castle using a similar glitch. He bypassed gannon too.

I still have my SNES. I`ll see if that really works when I get home on thursday.

Crazy stuff. That Link's Awakening one is a doozy. Serious hackage and luck right there.

The Mario 64 16 min run is NUTZ. Some of that is tool influenced but a good lot of that and the 20 min run are mad skillz. I must say I'm impressed.

Actually, that speedrun of Zelda isn't hacked, it's just a bug that you can activate.

Along with that speedrun video that you see. None of this is hacked, nor tool-helped. That, and there's several different speedruns for this game, that come anywhere from 16 - 30 minutes each, doing roughly the same tricks.

Are there any others besides SMB1 that are hacked?

When you think about it, he just got enough stars to make the rabbit appear, and then used glitches to get to the 2nd and 3rd bwser.

I want to see someone pull off all those crazy ninja moves getting every single star in the game.

Do you think he was the first person to find out about that "staircase glitch"? I think he must've, I mean, if it was old news then everyone would've heard about it. Ya' know what I mean?

It isn't too obscure of a glitch. Dig around the internet a bit and you'll find it.

I remember reading about that glitch on a magazine years ago, although it said it could be done only in the endless stairs.
