Musashi is a very popular character in Japanese legend. I've been slowly working my way through the live-action Musashi title that someone recorded off of Satelite. Whether Monkey Punch's "Musashi" is the same guy or not, I don't know.

I remember reading years ago that Monkey Punch was working on a version of the Musashi legend, but it was going to be somewhat sci-fi.

No idea what that meant. Does it mean Gankutsuou/Samurai 7 future setting? Or time travel or what or it may have become something totally different since I hadn't heard anything about this in a few years.

When I hear Musashi, I think of the Squaresoft game "Brave Fencer Musashi"! :)

Is Musashi gonna be a big pervert like Lupin?

Well, in the Eiji Yoshikowa novelised version of the Musashi legend...

Spoiler for Yoshikowa Eiji's "Musashi":
Musashi does try to "get it on" with Otsu, and one or two women in the 700 something pages I've read so far.

Anyway, if this is really an adaptation of any of the Musashi legends, I can't wait.
