The person selling it has a great rating, but that just doesn't look authentic to me. Thoughts?

I'm not so sure either. The shape of his feet work in the seller's favour, but the style is simplistic a half decent artist wouldn't have a great deal of difficulty replicating it. Hmmmm....

The profile shot is what gets me the most. Just doesn't look like the show at all...and quite unprofessional. BUt the hands are almost TOO GOOD for the show.

I really can't see anything that either proves or disproves the sketch's authenticity. The very different style of Spider-Man's mask and eye-slits could, as with the alternate simplified chest pattern, simply be attributed to the possibility that this was a drawing done in the early development of the show.

My thinking is that if this was a development sketch, it could have simply been one of many, as is usually the case. If I were interested in it, I'd naturally like a brief history of the sketch's previous ownership.
