Superman writer Jeph Loeb posted <a href="http://dcboards.warnerbros.com/files/Forum30/HTML/006767.html">this</a> on the official DC Comics message boards:
"Yes, starting this month, without much fan fare or hoopla, there will be small, but we think significant changes in the logos for the books. This is something that Superman Group Editor and pal Eddie Berganza has wanted to do since coming on board, and with the advent of AOS #600, DC granted his/our wish.
We hope you like."
As you can tell by the cover image to Adventures of Superman #600, the Superman logo will be added to the logo of the book. The banner under the logo may also be a new permenant fixture. This marks yet another change for the Superman titles within as many months. Just last month, the books dropped their long running "triangle numbers" in an effort to make the books more accessible. Looks like these new logos are another step in the right direction.
<b><font color="red">UPDATE:</b></font color="red"> The best online Superman site <a href="http://www.supermanhomepage.com">Superman Homepage</a> talked to Eddie Berganza about the new logos, albeit breifly:
"They are all being reworked, some more significant than others. They will all employ the S-shield."
