are you guys going to buy it

Yes, hopefully by the end of the year, but I can't say for sure. All I can say is this is 95% likely to be the first console I purchase this next generation just because of it's lower price.

Yes definetly, shows to be a bit more together game-wise than the revolution

and offers that downloadable service which may develope into something good during those lull periods(if there are any)

Probably, but not at launch, since I'm not as into video games as I used to be and I spend so much money on DVDs lately.

I'll probably pick one up when it drops to $99 and the bundles start coming out.

Yeah I'll probably buy it if I buy any console from that generation. But I might not even bother buying any of them. Gaming is becoming a rather expensive hobby and I've already got quite a few games I haven't played much of.

Probably. I generally buy every console when it hits the $199 price point, and the Revolution is highly likely to launch right there.

Definitely. This is going to be a huge system. I'm already excited.

If I can save enough money to, HELL YES.

Ocarina of Time + Super Mario Kart + Gamecuebe Games (Specifically "Windwaker") + Twilight Princess + Whatever promising kick*** games it launches with= Nirvana. But not the band. They're not as cool as the Nintendo Revolution!

Eh, yes. I'll be getting it as soon as there are games for it that would interest me. I'm still worried about the controller though.

Of course, I'll buy it.

I challenge all of you on Super Smash Bros Online like I did on N-Siders (Nintendo forums on nintendo.com), IGN, GameSpot, Jeuxvideo.fr and Jeux-France.com.

I may buy it at launch, which I have never done before.

But I can assure you it will be mine this year.

I'm sure I'll pick one up at some point. I can almost guarantee I won't be on a pre-order list or standing in line on launch day though.

Nope, sure won't, anything after GBA SP AND GC Nintendo is dead to me, hell i don't know if i'll even get a PS3*gonna wait to see starting price and then see what it comes down to later*

Absolutely. I’ll even resort to being one of those nuts who wait in line all night to get one if I have too. I can’t wait for this thing, even if all it could do is play the old games. That way I could make some more room around my TV by putting away the systems I don't need lying around anymore - SNES, N64, Cube, Xbox360 …

Without a damn doubt. I haven't been so excited about a system in ages... this thing looks like a damn fun TOY, not an overpriced computer box... and I predict that I'm gonna play it every damn day 'til it breaks :D

Check back with me once I've seen the games they'll have on the system (Not the ones from previous systems).

probably not right away. funds will be tight due to college and all the activities that go with it (such as rent), plus i am getting twilight princess right away. the revolution can wait until i finish the game... twice

I don't know enough about the console to make a sensible decision yet. I will probably wait and decide which of the 3 consoles to get after they're all in full swing. I'm leaning more towards Revolution though as more details are being given.

Absolutely.

Probably not. I haven't bought a non-portable console from N since the SNES, and I don't see any reason to change now.

I plan on getting it eventually, but not on Launch day (I have a...thing about launch systems working right in the long run....)

However My only plan to buy a PS3 exists to get one on launch day and sell it on Ebay for whatever price the maniacs are willing to pay!*cue evil laughter*

Goodluck trying to get either new console on launch day

no stores like Gamestop/EB are going to not take reserves because people are sueing them over the mess that was the X-Box 360 reserves

Not immediately.

Provided my longing for Earthbound still remains at managable levels. :ack:

Prob. not, because I never been that big of a nintendo fan, and I dont see the point in changeing. Plus I'm waiting for the ps3 to come out and like conekiller I'm going to sell it on ebay, and yea i'm going to get it on launch day at wal-mart, because my mother is friends with the manger and she promise us a ps3 system before they launch the wal-mart store.

Eventually, no doubt. I usually wait for a systme to drop to the $150 price range before I invest.

HECK YEAH! I'll try to buy it on the first day, too. :D

I'll buy it after it drops to (or already is) a reasonable price. Right now the PS3 is my focus. Because that revolution remote scares me.

I'm still a little reluctant about the unconventional controller, but I know from my experiences with the DS that Nintendo won't disappoint. Even at the highest expected price of $199 (yeah, there's probably a few places saying $249, but they don't count because I disagree with them), I'll be getting it (along with SSB Online) on launch day. I just need to decide how to go about it. Do I preorder and hope they get enough? Do I stand in line on launch day like I did for GCN (which was actually fun!)? How many controllers to buy? What color should I choose? Too many possibilities...

I'm definitely getting the Revolution. It'll probably be in the $200 range at launch, which is an easy pill to swallow for new hardware. It imght not be cutting-edge hardware, but it does allow for things to be done that can't be replicated elsewhere. The virtual console stuff SOUNDS amazing, but it living up to that soley depends on the execution.

I'm more or less keeping my standards of the Rev's controller to that of Arcade Lightgun Shooters, that seems to be the game quality to where that feature is going.

Alllready afew companies have expressed intrest to port their arcade-centric games over to the system(i.e. House of The Dead 4). So all in all it may just be port system most of the time of preveiously arcade only games(not that it's a bad thing, the 360's benefit is that it can run high end CPU games and costs a fraction of an actual proper PC to run the same game)

The downloadable content may be similar to the XBox 360, I certainly do not expect 1000+ games on the thing, and some formerly Japanese exclusives(i.e. The Mother/Earthbound Series) would still need english translation and may not appear. If anything I expect the majority of the games to be re-issues we have already seen or very common/popular games(i.e. Zelda, Mario, alot of 1st party stuff). Tranlsation costs money, and they would need to make it up by having it in a normal hard format, same with rare games as well.

Mabye, but theres no way Im getting it as a first console, I did that with the gamecube and i regret it now. I think I'll have to playtest if first aswell, cause i didnt really like the DS stylus too much.

If I do like the remote controller, then I'll probally get it when the new Zelda, House of the Dead and smash bros come out.

I think my main console of the rev/360/ps3 generation will the 360. Its tempting to get the PS3, as it'll no doubt have the biggist selection of games. But the rumers that PS3 is gonna be some ridulus price like £400, and by which time the 360 will very likely to only be £200, I think go with that. And also the back compatibily helps, the xbox is the only console of this generation I dont have.

Most likey becaue it going to the one I might be able to afford because as I is I dont see myself with a 360 anytime soon and with what the are saying the PS3 could cost in my dreams. Damn I still waiting for PS2 to drop in price (I wish my old PS2 was really mine and not my little brother's damn should have brought one before I was married)

Definately getting one, though probably not till the holidays, which is what I've done for every system so far. :)

When I hear more details on a Smash Bros. sequel, I'll consider it.
