But the (hopefully) upcoming DTVs are gonna be good for our "need new B:TAS" fix. Apparently, there will be three DTVs released, each done in a different style. One done in BTAS style, another in TNBA style, and anothe rin JL style. I'm trying to get this confirmed.

I can't wait until April. If I walk around that long with this grin on my face people will think I've got lockjaw or something.

I hope so, but I doubt it.
I personally hated the angular style of the characters in Batman: Gotham Knights... The show itself was decent, with some excellent episodes. It just wasn't as good as B:TAS...

I am optimistic about new DTVs though, but again there is almost no chance we will ever see a new Batman episode. That would be nice though.

The series finale was "Mad Love," which was a farely good series finale. (Not as good as it could of been though, it was kind of like Batman Beyond's ending. It wasn't intended the way it happened) And that aired way back in 1999. They might make a new series though someday. (Kind of doubt it though) I for one thought they should have made Superman last a little longer...it didn't come close to having as much episodes as Batman did...there was the episodes that were on Fox and the ones on WB...I think there was like 120 total or so. With Superman, I think there was only about 60 something.

The final new episode of Batman was January 16th, 1998. The episode aired the same weekend Rebirth premiered in it's Saturday morning timeslot. Batman had a great run of 109 episodes. Superman was cancelled 11 episodes early so they crew could focus on Batman Beyond. That series had 54 episodes.

I think you're right, it was 1999... it was my second year of grad school, I remember it.

Oh - I was talking to Alan Burnett on this, and he told me that the DTVs won't be done in three styles either. That was a rumor that just spang up awhile back. But I did hear the scripts are still being looke dat by WB higher ups.
And yeah, I meant 1999. My typo mistake! Oops!
