I've actually sat through a few episodes, and contrary to what I would have expected it's not horrible. I thought for sure it would be another show like "Totally Spies" or "Martian Mystery" that I couldn't get into. I'm so glad it isn't. Sure it sometimes succumbs to the "Extreame!!!" trappings that make some of role our eyes but the fight scenes are good, and the way the charecters interact is at least shows some effort on the writers part.

So beside poor Tuscon and his well made, yet mostly abandoned talkbacks, has anyone else checked this out (trust me Tuscon I know how you feel, look at my Buzz on Maggie talkbacks).

I've watched it multiple times, and it's the worst thing on Jetix in my opinion.

Ummm, No, I'd give the worst "Jetix thing" to Hyper Monkeys, but Kong is a close second :p Don't even get me started on Spiderman and Friends

I've seen this a few times waiting for Get Ed, but can't sit through a whole show. I like watching the girl (whatever her name is) but really find the characters empty, and the story kinda blah. The animation isn't bad and the martialarts action is kindof cool. if it marathoned over WITCH or Get Ed, it might move to a "hated show", but for the moment, I rank it about the same as Dragon Booster, not horrible, but lacks something to make it interesting to me.

Hey at least I tried I.R., but then when no one is truly interested in a good show (or a bad one), it makes you wonder if maybe my prophecy about the Disney Talkback forum is gonna turn into a "I remember this show but no one talked about it" Syndrome.

But then I have to agree here I.R., Alpha Teens on Machines doesn't suck, it's just in the same category as Get Ed Is right now.. it's mundane.. and sure the fight scenes are good, but until they get some writers in there that can make this show more interesting I think beau99's comments are gonna be truthful.. it will suck..

as for Maggie, well Like I said, not everyone like every show on Disney.. for everyone who loves Maggie there is someone who loves some other show..(and have you noticed on Disney Channel they are bringing back older shows like Even Stevens? what's up with that?)

Dont' get me started on W.I.T.C.H

But to each his own.

I hated A.T.O.M at first glance, but its' showing a slow turn of improvment, like an animated Fast Lane remade as M.A.S.K (and noone likes Fast Lane either)

I am a VERY open-minded person, but these days, i cant stand watching anything on Toon Disney, its just plumetted down the toilet

Only good thing is gargoyles (but at midnight?) and STAS and XTAS

they should get the rights to rerun Xmen Evolution and then maybe we'll see

but hey, thats just my opinion

Hey SRMTHFG is a good show, the worst is Bragon Booster.

Yet this shows something, everyone has posted a different Jetix Show they say is the worst and not the worst. That tells me that none are really as bad as we are treating them.

I am still astonished at the bad press SRMTHFG gets for the most part, in comparison to other series its' the one with the darkest undertones and characters, holds some terrific downbeat endings and no happy resolutions in the finales. Its' almost completly the opposite of a Disney afternoon, Gargoyle territory, and no wonder. Greg Weisman worked on this show.

I guess that the cynical thrashing only comes down to the stigma of having the format made famous by Toei and brought to the states by Power Rangers.

Well I really don't mind the show actually, I don't go out of my way to watch it, but I don't mind watching it sometimes. I thought for sure that it would be unberable but it's actually tolerable to me. Thankfully they've held back on the "extreme skater" slang too.

Have to admit that Alpha Teens on Machines is a dumb name though.

I tend to agree Joey, but then my question to the folks at Jetix is why pick such a bad name. I mean when you look at the Jetix Titles that are out there really how many of them are memorable names? Other then the Gargoyles and The Tick series, not a lot of Series on Jetix really have good titles either.

Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! is a mouthful to say, Dragon Booster sounds Like a something like a rocket booster you would strap to a dragon rather then a Rider of a dragon, W.i.t.c.h. is 5 girls who's names just spell out the word even though you could consider them magic users rather then witches.. and even Get Ed Sounds Like a Mafia hit..

(in fact here's a little known fact.. Totally Spies! (On Cartoon Network) originally was going to be released by Marathon as The Spy Girls but they opted out on that one..)

To quote a certain character.. "Who thinks up this stuff?"

It's not that the shows are bad.. but rather how folks perceive each show, and frankly Jetix needs to really dig deep and create some new shows rather that are enjoyable for everyone and not a select few. (I mean I like Get Ed and A.T.O.M. and Kind of Like W.i.t.c.h. and SRMTHFG! and don't like Kong or Dragon Booster.. (I kind of have gotten tired of Digimon as well). and I think if This keeps up, Jetix will really have to dig deep or will have to consult with animation companies, to find some rather entertaining shows for the fans.. rather then just go for name appeal.

"W.I.T.C.H." is a beautiful-looking show at any rate, although I hate that Gollum type thing that follows the girls around. As for "Dragon Booster"...I've watched several episodes and it still makes no sense to me. What the heck is going on? "Get Ed" is obnoxious looking (take that guy with the puppet, PLEASE!) and as for the Robot Monkeys...yeah, who DOES think up this stuff?

Ciro Neli (who worked on Teen Titans) is a fan of Power Rangers/Sentai. SRMTHG! was created as an homage to it.

the only reason I haven't even given A.T.O.M. a chance is because I'm afraid of disappointment...Totally Spies Totally Reeked....anywayz, what's it about? yeah, i have to agree with whoever said SRMTHFG is a mouthful. In fact, one of my friends made it a tongue twister!:p anyways.....what ARE all those shows about? I guess if poeple like them..i should try them. not W.I.T.C.H. though....i got sick of Caleb-poo and Matt-poo.....it's them with the gooey romance that make me go ACK! but otherwise, the show isn't too bad....so, will someone tell me what A.T.O.M. and the robot monkeys are about? and Get Ed?

-A.T.O.M is an exteme sports take on the old M.A.S.K format that Hasbro get away with because they own Kenner and the rights to the franchise. It's a basic "good vs evil" show heavily influenced not just by,M.A.S.K, but C.O.P.S and other old school forumulas. It's got some good touches, and some bad.

-SRMTFHG! Is to put it bluntly, Power Rangers with the volume turned way up. The title says it all, Chiro finds a super robot, filled with Monkeys in robot bodies, activates the power source (Power Primate), awakens them, learns they were designed to safeguard the Earth, is drawn in as thier leader, fight the forces of The Skeleton King. But it's much more than a parody/tribute to the show's Japanease source material. It has a tendency for lenthy, darker storytelling laced in with traditional blends of anime and western humour, the humour is not the vocal part of the show as much as the animation begs it to be. Mark Hamil's performances as The Skeleton King are chilling and I rank it amongst his best roles

I don't feel like doing a shopping list of the other Jetix shows and how I rate them, but A.T.O.M.? Lost interest in it a few weeks back.

I watch it... I just don't do talkbacks.

And, also note the fact that the Disney Animation Forum has a very low patronage.

You know something, I was thinking about starting a thread about how surprisingly good A.T.O.M. is. You summed up my feelings perfectly about this show. Great shows like A.T.O.M. and SRMTHFG are proof that you can't always judge a book by it's covr (or in the case of cartoons, by a quick glance or by one episode).

Except for some of the vehicles (which eere taken directly from M.A.S.K.) and the fact that the letters of the names/titles of the 2 shows stand for something, A.T.O.M. has very little in common with M.A.S.K..

I agree with evrything you said about SRMTHFG.

I know. I said it was influenced by that, C.O.P.S and other things.

Same here. It hasn't evolved one iota from the premiere. Got bored with watching the same ol' same old week after week.
