This is the talkback thread for "Chicken Little": Disney Lays a Bronze Egg (http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=9810).

I wonder. If Ganon threw Chicken Littles at you instead of fried Cuckoos, would you still be able to win?

Bah, they took an Emperor's New Groove route with the DVD and have very few special features, most of which are for the kiddies (music videos & games). I wouldn't be surprised if a 2-disc special edition were to come out later on.

The movie was cute and charming, but forgettable. Runt got annoying. The plot just transformed into this idiotic, sci-fi spoof that sucked. Chicken Little and Abby were adorable, though.

Wasn't a bad movie, I enjoyed it. But it did suffer from the constant pop culture references.

CL was a lot more fun that I expected. Even my sister, who's not into toons, liked it. There's just something about it. Disney did succeed in creating a likeable character in Chicken Little himself. And Abby rocked too. She was sort of the opposite of Cindy Vortex on "Jimmy Neutron" - extremely supportive of the titular hero. And the chicken/duckling romance was cute. As for the rest of the movie - I didn't mind the sci-fi all that much - the spaceship disguising itself as pieces of the sky wasn't a bad idea. But Runt was TOO fat and his lines weren't funny. It wasn't enough to kill the movie though. All in all, not a bad effort, and the movie sure made money. But I'm glad Pixar is back in the Disney fold. I'm looking forward to some really great toons with the kind of solid scripting Pixar is known for.
