Missed the first airing, but if the description is any indication I'm guessing there won't be any plot progression in this episode either.

And your guess would be correct. :)
What can I say? It was better than I've come to expect, but nowhere close to as good as I'd hoped. It's kind of frustrating, the creators of the show seemed to have a solid basis for an exciting series and then decided to turn it into 'a show about nothing'. Maybe watching too many anime series that have a week to week plot progression has caused me to start expecting too much.

I have to agree with the concensus as well as I have caught the episode (even the last few minutes, with the repeat later that evening.
Let's face it Get Ed started off good. the Plots were interesting at first, and kept you guessing what was going to happen. Now, it seems that the writers have gotten stuck in a rut. and a very bad one at that.
No real plot progression, no real plots using Bedlam (or his minions like the DNA Delivery Clones, or the Slambots.) and really this is almost turning into anohter Alpha Teens on Machines (Sure A.T.O.M. ups the ante a bit but the plot tended to fall apart after the Episode, Enter The Dragon.)
In short I feel that Get Ed is slowly becoming the same mundane material that Jetix is starting to produce and I mean even moving it to Disney Channel might help it, but then again, the way this show is going, You'll be wishing the folks at Disney had Naruto on... ()....
So my question to the folks at Jetix is this? Why bore the fans with Mundane plots? Your thoughts?

Well, I was pleasantly surprised that they actually gave us some backstory for Burn, and there were a couple of amusing Bedlam moments. But I say again, where the hell's the plot?! I was probably right in the other topic, we're not gonna see any plot until the two parter in April.

Heh.
I hated Get Ed when it began, because of the plot. Now I like the show, because there's been no progression in it.
Strange, is it?

Toon Disney also needs to work on their scheduling. They air some of the episodes out of order, and list the wrong episode title in tv and jetix listings. Last week, they had the episode, Dilemma listed. But Locked was aired instead. A mini-marathon of another jetix show was originally scheduled to air last night. Then at the last minute, they decide to air the new episode of Get Ed that they had planned to air first on Friday. This is very nerve-wracking.

Well, we don't even see the episode titles in the actual show, so it doesn't matter that much. Would be nice if they actually aired stuff in the production order, but we can't expect the idiots in scheduling to show some intelligence, huh?
As far as taping the show, just set your VCR/DVR for the time and let it do it's thing. If it's a repeat, rewind and record over it.

I'm going to agree with everyone on this one. I'm beginning to look for E/I in the upper corner with all these "the best path in life is to play nice and learn to understand and accept others." :p
I didn't find the game interesting, it was even more dull than the race show. The final play between Burn and Fizz couldn't have had more fore shadowing if they had added a neon sign. But the most critical part was the humour was lacking, I don't think I really laughed once. It wasn't wholly terrible, I didn't mind watching it twice.
Anthony? is this the first time Ol'Skool's name was used?

Old School's been called Anthony in other episodes, so that wasn't a new revelation.

Well of course it was boring, it was a copy of fricking Blitzball from Final Fantasy X. They just traded the water for hoverboots and a zero gravity arena.
Oh and everyone, say hi to brentorama, AKA Brent Forrest, the effects designer for Get Ed. Was wondering if he'd ever show up over here . . .

By effects, you mean the flybys and explosions or the character animation?

He does a little bit of everything, actually. From fires, explosions and Clones going splat, to the actual powerups of the kids and Bedlam. His website is located here (http://www.brentforrest.ca), and he has a bunch of files that are examples of the stuff he's done on the show.

Thanks for the plug
When are you going to finish your Ed fanfic?

No problem about the plug, just thought people would like to see your site. As for the fanfic, the one I mentioned in my journal sorta died on the vine. I got to a certain point and then the story refused to go anywhere.

I don't get what everyones problem is with episode. I liked it, I think ZG looks fun (if it were real). But I like every episode, what do I know.
