I think the Chaps like to pull this after getting close to a "milestone". Like for example how many "Not the 100th Email" short toons/puppet dealies/whatever did we get before the 100th email aired? I doubt it will be as overblown here though. It will probably come next week, but they just wanted to "up the ante" for the email or something.

As for the short, not really that good. I did like Strongsad's storyboards but that's all there really was to this one. Hopefully the email will actually be worthwhile and really enjoyable like the 100th.

Besides "upping the ante", there another thing you need to consider: April Fool's Day is this coming Saturday, and as a tradition, the Brothers Chap take part in this day with their own April Fool's joke. Thus, it's likely that the joke is a bigger priority at the moment than the e-mail.

Homestar was wearing a Snifit mask from Super Mario Brothers 2.

Not to mention Strong Bad muttering "Pilot Wings" in his sleep.

Well that's true, but it's not like the specials are anything that overly complex (although last year's "Homestar Play Plus" could of taken more time then an average holiday update due to all the various pages). Plus, I'm sure they've already got an idea and a theme set for special and are working on that and the 150th email. If they you know want to get things done on time anyway.

You know what they COULD have done.....waited a week for the update, then done a phony SBEmail where SB says this will be his final one. THAT would have been a good trick.....

The sky must be falling if Strong Sad is now trying to order Strong Bad around.

While not particularly funny, this e-mail did have plenty of good lines such as Strong Bad's "pilotwings" line and "get out of my couch...space". :p

It only goes to show that the Bros. Chaps are taking the 150th e-mail seriously as a milestone event so I'm sure they'll have something big for us in the coming week(s). ;)

After watching this, I think I found the perfect email to send to them:

Dear Strong Bad

How do you keep a turkey in suspense?
Answer: You're doing it right now by holding off on the 150th email. :)

150? I haven't noticed that they've gotten that far! Haven't been paying attention to numbers I guess. I short was okay. I kind of liked Strong Sad's idea for a sbemail. As for the email itself, I hope it will be as enjoyable as the 50th and 100th emails.
