Lost Mickey cartoon?

It was either back in 1996 at a presentation by Disney animator Dave Pruiksma or 1998 with Disney animator Nik Ranieri, that a short segment of a Mickey Mouse cartoon was shown. It had Mickey rescuing Minnie from Pete in a castle tower. It was stated that this recently produced cartoon had been released in Japan, but not in the US.
Is there anyone out there that recognizes this cartoon, from my short description?

This may be one of those short cartoons that was produced for the Mouseworks TV show under the umbrella title Mickey To the Rescue.

Most likely Mickey to the Rescue : Staircase (http://disneyshorts.toonzone.net/years/1999/staircase.html) . Not one of their better releases.
