I know that these topics might not generate that many replies, but I still consider myself obligated to create this topic, considering I’m a faithful fan of the series. The episode summaries for these episodes are listed below.

Episode Summaries

Net of Lies: Brandy wants to go to a concert on the same day she had promised to go watch fireflies with Mr. Whiskers. She decides to try to lie to Whiskers in order to get out of her prior engagements, though she finds it more difficult than she anticipated.

Dog Play Afternoon: When Brandy attempts to get the lead role in a play, Margo sabotages her audition and she only manages to become an understudy. Likewise, Gaspar loses out the role he auditioned for and only managed to become an understudy, so Brandy and Gaspar agree to help one another by ruining the play’s leads in order to permit them to take the position themselves.

My Thoughts (Spoilers)

I personally believe that these episodes could have been much better; I thought the modern involvement in both of these episodes weren’t very appropriate and I believe the second season of the series should focus more on Brandy’s attempts to get out of the Amazon. I did like some parts of these episodes, though I feel that Net of Lies was particularly weak, though Dog Play Afternoon was the better of the two episodes and I believe that it permitted me to enjoy watching these episodes more than I initially would have. Seeing Brandy care about Mr. Whiskers again was a welcome addition to Dog Play Afternoon, in which that episode also re-established that Mr. Whiskers was her best friend, though I suppose I’m just rambling on. All in all, these were somewhat below average in regards to typical episodes of Brandy & Mr. Whiskers, though I still found some entertainment in watching them.

If you’ve seen these episodes, feel free to reply with your thoughts on their quality.

I bet this will make you happy...I watched these episodes.

My thoughts-
Net of Lies was not a good episode. It was just...bleh. The premise was weird in the first place, but the poor writing didn't help. Definitely one of the worst in the entire series.

Dog Play Afternoon, however, was pretty good. I enjoyed this one quite a bit. I thought it was nice how Brandy actually cared for Whiskers in this one. And it was very nice of Whiskers to be at the play even though he was injured. Very good episode. But I do agree with you; we should be seeing more of Brandy trying to get home this season. Perhaps that will come later on?

So, yeah...Dog Play Afternoon was strong, Net of Lies was weak, it sort of balanced out. But still, I was disappointed overall. Maybe next week's will be better.

Thanks for watching one of the episodes, though it’s unfortunate that the episode you found time to watch was of a somewhat poor standing. However, some of the episodes this season have been excellent, though I suppose every series has a few bumps in the road that prevents it from being perfect. I can’t say whether or not the next episode will be any better since I don’t know what it’s about yet, though maybe you’ll be able to catch a better season two episode sometime in the future.

Kevin Manthei said there were nearly twenty episodes of Brandy & Mr. Whiskers this season, and since he’s the one who provides the music for the series, I’d say he’s a pretty reliable source. There are currently twelve known season two episodes, which are actually twenty four stories; I’m somewhat certain there will be a few more new episodes revealed in due time, though I don’t believe there’s that many episodes left in the second season.

Due to Disney’s poor 2:30 PM timeslot for new episodes, on a Friday, I don’t believe Disney is going to place much faith in the series. I’m hoping for a third season, though a realistic point of view seems to indicate that such probably isn’t possible.
