I just got this game yesterday. Unfortunately though I do not as of yet have a Sega CD system. But I wanted to tell you guys that as soon as I can I will make a copy of the animated episodes within the game onto VHS and then translate them into real media format or something similar. I'm so excited! Its going to be like watching a brand new episode of BTAS. I checked the credits and Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, Glen Murakami, Curt Geda and many others actually worked on the animated portions of this game!!

Yes, yes YES!! I've been waiting years for this! Not to mention that the animation was done by TMS... I can't wait!

WOW that's amazing! I didn't know TMS did the animation for that damn game!! Why didn't I get it and the system!? Oh well. Thanks for the generosity Tim, it's greatly appreciated and I'm sure it won't disappoint!

WOW. I'd like to second everything Mad Hatter said.
There was so little TMS animation in the original series, and I know that they animated many of the rogues gallery for the game that we never got to see them do on the show.
Tim, its been so long, can you list the villains in the game?

Yeah not a lot. Posion Ivy has two levels. Then Riddler has two levels. Joker has one and last one believe it or not has Rupert Thorne. I actually haven't played it yet though. I'm having problems getting the system running. Also the box art shows Clayface but I don't know if he's actually in the game.

You could try using a SegaCD emulator. Or, just copy the animation files off the CD and look for a conversion program. Then you don't have to mess with analog quality degradation.

Riddler & Poison Ivy- cool. TMS never got a Joker ep in the original show, but, of course, did him in 'ROTJ' (best Joker animation by far).

yeah I know about Sega CD emulators but I'm having the hardest time getting it to work. Its not as simple as using a Super Nintendo emulator or something becuase you have to force bios and rename files and whatnot. I'm just waiting to find a good price for a Sega CD on ebay. However copying the animation files off the CD onto my computer sounds like a good idea. Anybody know how to do that??

It's tricky, since each software company pretty much made their own movie formats for the SegaCD. I have a friend who wrote a small program which reads the SonicCD movies - hopefully the source he sends me can be modified in some way to work with the Batman & Robin ones.
Then, we've gotta use 2-pass Divx. ;)

k well I don't have ICQ. I have AIM my name is lumandrew. Or you can email me at andrewlum81@aol.com btw it turns out there is currently no emulator that can properly run Batman and Robin for Sega CD.

Well, I've got the video files now, and I'm siccing my SegaCD-hacking friend on it. He likes the game, so it gives him some extra incentive. :D

Did you actually got a copy of the movie files?? I tried sending them to you, but I don't know if you ever recieved them. I can just send you the CD if you think you need it. Email Andrewlum81@aol.com I don't have your email and I forgot your AIM screenname.
