Happy New Year everybody! It's time for a new year and a new FQ! I've got another Batman Beyond philosophical question for you. If the exact same production team behind Batman Beyond (writers, animators, producers, every detailed person) was to come back and pick up right where they left off:

Would you allow them to continue on with the series??

...animation?
...writing?
...MAX?!

What would you do. What WOULD you do!

Would I allow them to? I would think that they would do whatever they wanted and wouldn't give a damn about what I thought either way.

Either way, I wouldn't really care. Sure, I'd tune in once and a while, but I'd see it as a distraction from Justice League.

However, I could settle for another DTV movie (where they could spend more money on a better script and animation).

I've never seen Batman Beyond as a worthwhile endavour, so no I wouldn't "allow" them to work on it anymore. I would however, "allow" them to work on more TNBA episodes, using the old, hand-drawn animation.

yea i would, but they need more quality villans that appear consistently. i mean derek powers was a big villan, but hes really stupid. batman had villans that were cool, the only cool bb villan was inque

I thought Shriek and Spellbinder were decent BB villains. I also really liked the Royal Flush Gang.

oh and btw I'd rather have a nice BB DTV movie to wrap up the series. Or a 13 episode story arc that wrapped up the series. BB Season 2 was the worst of the bunch because they had twice as many episodes to make as compared to season 1 and season 3. They had 26 episodes and the team was also split and working on BB ROTJ. Btw I think Batman Beyond was a great series. Season 1 and 3 had great episodes. I loved Blight, Inque, Spellbinder, The Royal Flush Gang, and Shriek. A touch of Curare was great because of Barbara Gordon. Big Time was a nice two-face type character. The justice league unlimited wasn't half bad. And Disney boy have you ever seen the BB episode Out of the Past?? Its spectacular!!! Seeing Ra's Al Ghul versus Terry was awesome. And of course ROTJ was great as well.

Anywho I like BB. A DTV movie starring Dick Grayson and Blight would be awesome. Or a final season with the return of Blight and some huge global scale problem where the JLU comes back would be great.

I would love to see BB continued, but I want the episodes to have the quality that season 1 had. I would also like to see Terry go up against villians w/ more depth. One of the problems I had w/ season 2 was that the villians seem to be driven by very superficial motives that led them to such extreme behavior. I mean, no matter how bad of a financial bind you're in, you're not going to put on armor and rob technology from other companies. (Or was that episode from season 3?)

my main problem was that the villans were never developed fully. now the b:tas and tnba had the advantage that most of their villans had been around for decades, and they didnt have a lot of explaining to do about them, because most batman fans already knew how they were, the animators just put their own little touches on the villans. for batman beyond, except for the like 3 times i can remember original batman villans came back(rotj, out of the past, and the mr. freeze episode, the time when bruce mentions catwoman doesnt count), all of the villans were brand new. to actually care what happens in the episode, i need to know more about the villans, because obviously they explained a lot about terry. this is the ultimate downfall of batman beyond. it is still a good show, but not great

I'd like to see more stories that center on Bruce Wayne, and also more interaction between Terry and his family. The 4th season opener should involve Max developing an unhealthy obsession with Batman, climaxing when she sneaks into the Batcave and puts on the Batgirl costume. She does battle with Bruce and they both fall off a cliff, but Terry can only save Bruce.

Regardless of what the naysayers will have U think. BB was a good reimagining (for lack of better word) of the B:TAS series. I was very skeptical at first about it but the show really made me even more of a fan of Timm and Dinis' (et all) work. I really think where the show could have done better was to have Bruce pass away and show how Terry mature into his new role. I also would've liked to see a lot of loose ends sewn up from the time between B:TAS and BB. Anyway ......Toon Zone kicks butt!!!! :wakko:

hey, please, tell us how you really feel....
Anyhow, I thought very highly of BB.It had some bad episodes but frankly, so did The first show.I thought Tower of Babel was fantastic, what a cool idea, and Out of the Past?! A Batman musical, and Terry actually dragged Bruce there? I died laughing!

I'd like that 4th season we were promised but never got... more JLU, and more of Bruce's and Terry's respective pasts. Then, with a wrap-up DTV, I'd be satisfied.

Animation from where they left off - but with more quality control. If only to tie up loose ends. I'd have Max in there, but to a lesser degree so her apprearance was equal to the other background characters aside from Bruce.

BB was an excellent reinvention of Batman. People should enjoy it for what is was rather than fearing it's premise and existence. This should all be a moot question. Of course it should be able to go on if it was allowed - how could anything that supported the franchise in such an original and interesting way not be given an extra lease of life?

Terminatah,

That's is hilarious and a great idea. I don't believe that Max is all that bad, but it is still a great idea for the opening part of season 4.

It would be really cool if they brought BB back. But I certainly wont cry for weeks if they never did. It was good, entertaining show to watch. If they did bring it back, I would want them to at least have one episode concerning Nightwing. What can I say, I', Nighty obsessed, I want Nighty everywhere!

I think they should have a short season 4 and then make like 1-2 hour long series finale episode because I really think that that last episode although being good, just wasn't right as a last episode.
