John Delaney's Sketch of the Week #2

Welcome to "John Delaney's Sketch of the Week"! Out of the kindness of his art, John Delaney is doing something big for the fans - an exclusive weekly Toon Zone sketch! Every week, John Delaney will draw up a new picture based on the results of the poll above. That means that *we* fans choose what the picture will be! The contest will begin every Monday, and end at 5pm the following Friday, giving fans a solid five days to choose. You can only vote ONCE ! Delaney will then draw the sketch over the weekend and we'll present at the beginning of the following week. The characters must be DC characters drawn in the Animated style, and if you have any requests for future polls, send me an email with your ideas! Sound good? You can also post your thoughts on the poll in this thread.

I figured that in this next poll, the character choices would be totally different, and that the characters left unvoted from last week would appear later, maybe in a rotation...Whateva!

Yah, that's why it just goes without saying that Batgirl is next this week!

I'd like to see Batgirl sketched. I really liked Batman: The Animated Series (a tad better than Spider-Man: TAS) and I'd like to see a new rendition of the heroine, too. It's the cartoon version, and not the lame comic book version, right?

To be honest, I expected a completely different list, or a somewhat different list, here either. It's safe to bet that Batgirl will be the easy victor here.

Here's a question:

Are we voting for the B: TAS Batgirl or the TNBA Batgirl? There are subtle differences between the two, and since it was specified last week that the JL Batman won, shouldn't that also be the case for the two versions of Batgirl..?

Would really like to see a nice action shot of Terry McGuiness in action as Batman. An excellent show .....I would miss greatly if it wasn't for the JL Animated. P.S - Toon Zone kicks Butt!!!!

Wow...Batgirl is just ripping up the competition. The reason why we put "JL Batman" up there becuase this thread is also supposed to appeal to the JL only fans, as well as the animated fans. That's why only a few of these have JL in them. As for the others ones, it can be either BTAS or TNBA. Whatever John's preference is.

But there's such a huge difference!!!! I mean from TNBA and B:TAS, Pengy gains four fingers, has lyposuction and a nose job, cuts his hair and dresses in black!!!

Can't we specify B: TAS and TNBA in future polls????

Delaney said that he's getting the picture to us tonight, so it'll be up tonight or tomorrow. And the choices will remain as is for now, especially since the "TNBA" design is considered the permenant design, now, for the animated Batman (I believe Timm said this himself). Yes, there are differences, but it's up to Delaney which version he wants to draw - so it'd only fair to let him choose.

Holy...Batgirl has half the votes...I wonder if she'll win...

Hopefully in the next poll, we'll have some real "out there" choices. Like Harl said, email her choices for the poll. The reason why this poll is like the previous one is probably because [b]no one[b] emailed her suggestions - so please email her! If you wanna see Poison Ivy - tell her! If you wanna see Solomon Grundy - tell her! If you wanna see Roxy Rockey - tell her! (and so on, so forth...)
