View Full Version : Contacting Disney reliably, and not getting told to take a hike?

(trying to make this a valid thread in it's own right, instead of just a mindless cross-post, I'm posting this in here in the hopes that there is someone who knows how to deal with Disney better than I)

So i've come to the terrible realization that one of my most favorite of all time animated series, which technically qualifies as an anime, and is called The Noozles / Wonderous Koala Blinky / Fushigi na koara burinkii, is in the hands of the Evil Empre™, aka the Disney corporation.
(sorry, I know, read the rules, know i'm breaking them, please rebuke me)

Actually, it's (seemingly) in the hands of Buena Vista, even though they seem to have forgotten completely about it. I've called them, and they have stated that their computers have it listed, but with no way to place an order. I was told that my request for the material was being sent to "research"
(which I hope doesn't mean "into the nearest wastebasket" )
in order for them to find out to whom the rights to the series belong.

I made a request that I be contacted when they are able to make the connection as to where The Noozles has gone. It's only been a few days, but I still have my doubts as to whether they are actually going to come through for me.

It would make me enormously, deliriously happy if perchance I were able to recapture this treasured part of my childhood, and if only for a few moments relive the joy that this series brought me during my formative years.

I'm asking this here because, from everything that I hear about disney, it is difficult to actually make contact with anyone of any importance within the corporate behemoth that is Disney. And I have doubts as to whether I will be able to affect any results in my quest without asking for some assistance.

So does anyone know how to, effectively express the fact that they are sitting on this incredibly great (IMHO) series and are doing nothing with it, but should be? And then get them to act upon this knowledge in a reasonable, intelligent manner?

and just because i'm a cross-posting jerk, http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=162692 (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=162692)

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noozles for a reasonably decent description of what I'm talking about...

I don't know who to contact at Disney, but...OMG, NOOZLES?!?! The one with the blue koala that looked like a stuffed animal until you gave him an eskimo kiss, and the little pink koala that floated and could disappear and had the magic watch, and the girl Sandy and those two sailor-looking guys, one of which looked like Bluto?????? I want! I vaguely remember it from my childhood...was it on Nick? I know that "The Little Koala" came on right after, so they had the Koala Power Hour. Anyway....I hope it gets released too.

Yeah, the show is exactly as you rememeber it, except blinky (the larger, non flying one, had the magic watch)

As far as I can tell it's part of Buena Vista's Librarby now. (Disney owns BV)

I would greatly appreciate it if everyone who remembers this series fondly would place a call to Buena Vista's customer service line ( 1-800-477-2811 ) and tell them that you would like to see the noozles re-released on DVD. Jam the 0 key a bunch of times to speak to the operator.

:anime:

A pic to refresh your memory (note which one of them is wearing the yellow watch.)

I've also been told that Blinky's magical watch had a lizard that lived in it named Osgood. I've forgotten :crying: .

Wow, I don't remember the lizard either. I thought the watch was what let the pink one fly and teleport, guess not...I'm calling today :D
