According to the WF bio, this is what it says:

An utter genius, and as crazy as any Arkham inmate. That could best describe Grant Walker. A multi-billionaire, he financed a "new world", just outside Gotham called Oceania, and was close to freezing the globe, so only a select few could live inside Oceania. Before he was stopped by Batman, he bribed Mr. Freeze to make him an immortal in the freeze suit. Mr. Freeze, in order to reclaim his frozen wife, did so. But when Oceania went down, so did Walker. Walker was frozen in a huge chunk of ice, which took him two years to break out of. Those two years made him more insane than before. He's currently holding up in Arkham.

I remember distinctly at the end of "deep freeze" that walker was shown sinking to the bottom of the ocean, trapped in an ice berg. Where was it shown that he escaped two years later? more insane than before?

Perhaps in the Batman Adventure comics or whatever the animated tie in comics are called. Walt never did come back after Deep Freeze in the animated universe, just stuck in the ice block screaming as fish pass him by.

I personally think he died.

Mr. Freeze's condition got worse (TNBA) and he would've died without all of those doctors to save him. Walt had no doctors down there, so he would've died.

Yup, it was a comic story. I have it.

But the comics aren't in continuity with the series, are they?

The comics had a totally different story for Huntress, if I recall correctly. I think she was an adult when her family was killed in that story.

I haven't actually read the Adventures comics outside of a few issues, but I think if it can take place it will take place. I've looked through issues and noticed that Deadman and Etrigan appear in several Batman Adventures comics- then when they finally appear in the Batman animated series and Justice League, past meetings with Batman are referenced. I aslo read on TVTome that a trio of villains who had only appeared in the Adventures comics made cameos in the "Trial" episode of Batman.

Yeah, in fact the lines in "Dead Reckoning" directly refer to the events of a particular issue, which is interesting.

I get the impression that the creators like the "Batman Adventures" comics, but not really any others. I mean, Justice League Unlimited's comic is such a continuity nightmare anyway, what's to like?
