Comments?

The People's Choice Award winner for Favorite New TV Drama, Prison Break, returns one hour earlier. When we last left Michael, Sucre, Westmoreland, C-Note and T-Bag they had just discovered that the pipe below the infirmary that Michael has been rusting away since he arrived at Fox River has been replaced, cutting the five of them off from Lincoln and their escape route!!

Putting Prison Break and 24 back-to-back might just be the best scheduling move FOX has made in a long, long time.

Good episode, liked the fake-out Governor call.

I'm guessing Sucre will do something to the electricity and prevent the execution. (I didnt see the previews, so dont know if they showed something to that extent)

4.5

They showed him in the chair and then they showed a coffin, and then a depressed Scofield talking about suicide....implying he's really going to die. If they're going to screw the audience on THAT big a level.....well, I really hope that's not going to be the case. The show IS mean.

Ah its been along wait, and unlike other aspects of my life:p , this show remains good and unchanged in how its still so awesome. Im not sure if anyone has ever had so many feint rescue attempts as Lincoln did. Im not sure how the hell hes going to get out of this one, who else is left to save him? maybe they'll kill him off:eek: ...well doubtful but man that would totally blow people away.

That was one heck of a time padding this episode have, and it sucks that thanks to Tweener, Bellick cut off Michael's shot at delaying the execution. I also hate that the darn VP is circumventing the legal system, even if the Governor was going to grant a stay just to have more time to review Veronica and Nick's findings (given to him by Sara).

The ending was definitely the cruelest part... getting a call from the Governor, only for him to say he's not granting clemency. What an evil tease!

7 out of 10 for "The Rat."

Just watch FOX agonize us next week, taking the whole hour until we get to the 'execution.' Lincoln's not really gonna go out like this... is he?

I really like this show. Its nothing amazing persay, but I find myself enjoying it immensely. The show is more character driven and fresh than its more established counterpart 24.

The fact that Michael said he was "moving on" and that they still had to leave the prison would seem to reference that Lincoln actually does die. This sort of saddens me as while it shows tremendous guts to kill off one of the major characters of the show, new motivation will have to find the inmates to continue the breakout.

It's up to Sucre to save the day...if he can get a rat and get to the electrical device, he can save Lincoln.

Michael wasn't to broken up into the preview, so I assume Lincoln lives.

I dunno, I can't believe Lincoln is actually going to die. Believe it when I see it is going to be my view on that. Solving the big mystery needs to be to exonerate Lincoln, not just stop Vice President Reynolds from being evil and keeping Veronica safe. If Lincoln is killed, the story will lose a lot of its fire.

The thing that really caught me about this episode was that other than initial suspense of the escape back to the C.O. break room and Bellick almost catching them that the tension was dramatic rather than the "oh god, what happens" that you get in episodes like "Riots, Drills and the Devil" (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=150856) where there was action and danger around every corner. Still a very strong episode.

T-Bag wanted to get out of there, but threatening Michael? I don't know what he expected to accomplish, but when does one really know what Theodore Bagwell thinks. It was great seeing Sucre stick up for Michael later. Interesting thing is, if Abruzzi's men hadn't accidently killed his brother and nephew (were those the relations?), James would have called and blown the whistle on the escape when he didn't hear from T-Bag again. Fate is funny sometimes.

Poor Michael, he had everything planned out and then something actually moved fast in the state prison system. There was some much pain in his very deep eyes and there was nothing he could do. He didn't even know if Lincoln knew he tried. I can't imagine what that was like. He gave up his entire life to meet this one goal and then it seemed unattainable.

The rat was a great idea, it's a shame that the other rat, Tweener, freaked out and told Captain Bellick his little piece of news. I don't think the kid knew what he was getting into. He didn't even get to finish his burger. Then Bellick got the electrician and C.O. Geary to go along with not reporting the problem. I anxiously await the day when Warden Pope finds out a jerk his captain is.

Sara seemed to actually get through to her father after talking to Veronica and Nick, she still cares about Michael, she just doesn't want to admit it. I wonder if Governor Tancredi was threatened or if the VP coming to see him is enough. He may want to move up in the part.

And now we await the throwing of the switch...

Horray for titles with double-meanings!

I too wonder if they're actually going to kill Lincoln or not. I suppose Michael will still be motivated by revenge to unravel the conspiracy.

I freakin' hate the Secret Service. If only they had made another screw-up in this episode it would have saved the day.

There was a bit of padding in this episode. It definitely seemed slower-paced. I half expected the show to switch into 24-mode and go hour by hour leading up to the execution/breakout. (Commercials had Michael saying he had "6 hours" or so to save his brother.) But with three extra weeks, I don't see why the breakout would happen any sooner than the season finale.

But with three extra weeks, I don't see why the breakout would happen any sooner than the season finale.Michael doesn't have those three weeks yet anyway. Bellick convinced the electrician and C.O. Geary not to report the rat in the fuse box. Lincoln is going to die in a matter of minutes unless something else happens.
