Seven. Its my favorite game of all time, but beware. OVK is gonna rip on FF in just a sec.

I do believe that FF has lost its soul since its been on PSX. VII and IX were good, but as graphics get better, its harder to put yourself in that persons shoes. When you could barely tell if it was a guy or a girl it forced you to use some imagination. The SNES games were special that way. Theyve become less like those days.

It's a tie between FFVII and FFVI. Even though FFIX was good too, and FFVIII sucked.

FF Never.

As in, there will NEVER be a good FF game.

Personally I think VI is the best FF game to date. But IV shall always be my favorite (it was also the first one I ever played :)).

He doesn't seem to like anything, from all his posts I've read.

Anyway, my favourite is Final Fantasy IV. Yes, the characters look like barely recognizable pixels of colour, but it just had that magic the later ones lacked. VI is probaby second for me.

VI & VII are great... it's a tie for me...

Hmmmm.... I'd probably lean toward VI myself, in terms of the characters and the story... and I can't get enough of that nutty Kefka. VII's story didn't interest me as much, though the other elements came together surprisingly well. The characters and story in the much-maligned VIII really sparked my interest, though the battle system was a pain in the butt.

Though I'm really enjoying X now... I love the tweaked battle system, and the new method of leveling up is pretty fascinating!

Anywho, I still say VI is the best FF released to date. Best story. Best characters (though some were underdeveloped, but those that got developed got developed). And the best music composed for any of the games.

Still IV is my favorite. Like I said it's the first one I played. Not only that, the main characters are well rounded, and the plot is excellent (and I say it stands up well against many of the RPG's of today). But the music was just sort of ok.

V was ok. The battle system was unique, and while I though it was used better in Tactics, it was still a step in the right direction. The plot, however, was a step backward. Sure it was less linear than IV (and every other game that came after) but compared to the story told in IV it's a disappointment. And the characters and music were just there.

I, II, & III. To be honest I haven't played enough of these games to make a full decision on them. From what I have played from II (about a third of the game) I did like the battle system. No leveling up, the more you use a weapon or spell the stronger it becomes. But on the other hand there were no classes either. Over all it was in interesting experiment but I don't think it would b excepted today.

VII. It was all right, and it's matra system seems to have been adapted in some part for both Crono Cross and X. The Plot was good, as were most of the characters and the music. It's just that there were other Playstation RPGs that I enjoyed more, like: Suikoden, Xenogears, and Wild Arms.

VIII. Overall I think it was executed better than VII but the game became tedious by the end, it was a chore to finish. I think I had more fun finishing Shadow Madness. SHADOW MADNESS!

IX. Another one that was just "there", kind of like V, but with better characters.

X. Right now I'm loving this game. A good plot (but very linear until the end). Great characters, plus the voices are good (has anyone noticed Batgirl yet? :)). The music rocks. And the battle system and grid are ten tons of fun. I'd say it's the best FF since the SNES days.

Seven. No doubt, no argument - alright? :D
Sorry, but I become a bit of a bully when it comes to Final Fantasy!

I love seven. I love the storyline, the characters, the ending and more importantly, the score. I think the music is amazing.

I love it's none linear approach which is one reason alone it beats the latter games in the series.

I'm at the moment slowly making my way through five, now over impressed. Game system is interesting but the characters just aren't gripping me.

Looking forward to FFX when it finally washes up on this fair island's shores!

Hehe."Glass is half empty" kinda guy...i`m a "Space within the glass could theoretically be divided into an infinite number of times" person.I don`t really know what that means but it`s a positive outlook.

VI was the best all-around,but I like IX`s characters the most mainly just for their designs...the whole thing reminded me of "The Dark Crystal" and having a humanoid rat as the red mage is the coolest thing the series has ever done (I love rats, and my girlfriend loves them a billion times more...keeps them as pets, theyre easily her favorite thing in the world and shes a major gamer,so it was like they created a character specifically for her) And Vivi is the cutest thing to ever have a face consisting solely of glowing yellow eyes (Competing, that is,with Orko and Jawas)

I like SNES better than other game system, as far as game play, the newer systems have too many buttons, I guess I'm just old skool.
Anyway, I really love FF 2, with Cecil the knight, but I felt it was a bit to linear, the US squel was a lot better FF 3, but the story line was somewhat depressing, but it had lots of twists.
My only problem was there was too many charicters plus I gained a lot of levels with the expience egg, and beat the main boss with ease, it's been a while since I played but last time, I forgot to get my man Shadow, before the floating island blew up.

I do hope to get that FF game for the playstation, that has the FF 4 from Japan.
