The question raised about the Final Cut reminds me of one that I have had for a while now...

Why is it when the bad guys shoot at Batman, the bullets miss him? But when the SAME bad guys (such as in World's Finest) shoot at Superman, those bullets ALWAYS bounce off that red S???

you know, i always thought about that. i think batman has quicker reflexes than superman. i know, superman is pretty darn fast, but for the most part he just sits there and lets these guys shoot at him. batman has to dodge these bullets which only a person with trained reflexes could do. the best example is the new batgirl- she can dodge anything, very similar to batman i think...

Batman could as likely dodge all those bullets as he could dodge rain drops. Yeah, I am sure he has excellent reflexes, but he isn't Spider Man with Spider Sense or some super power to help him out here.

I think it just something the writers never gave much thought because each one is more dramatic for the specific character. Seeing Batman being missed all the time adds to the action, and seeing Superman deflect all the bullets adds to the action for that character.

Personally, I liked the bullet proof costume in Batman the movie. In that movie, Batman did get shot, but he was prepared for it. In the comics and cartoons, it seems a little more unrealistic. I know it's a cartoon, but still!

It's pretty obvious. Superman doesn't need to dodge and move quick. Therefore he gets hit alot.

Yeah. Also Supes is just too lazy to doge bullets. He allows his invunrebility to fo all og the work.

I want to know why the cops couldn't hit Bigtime in the beginning of BETRAYAL. He's a gigantic slow moving target. The Gotham Police are lousy shots.

There are times when I just sit back and wonder how these officers got jobs. Don't they have weapons training at the GCPD?

i rembre reading about this in the comics, i think it was in dark victory, it talks about how alfred tried to convince bruce to wear body armor, but he always came back with, "it slows me down, and it makes me to sluggish." ironicly, in that same comic batman got shot in the leg, you should pick it up calhoun.

He wears Kevlar now, whch is bullet proof, but much lighter than armor. While he didn't wear it in Year One, he picked it up recently. Before NML I believe.

Well, I know that cities will charge the person who caused the damage, if they get caught, if it is public property. Perhaps Metropolis is sending the bills to the bad guys? Or maybe they just bought out the land on which the Fortress of Solitudes sits on and they charge Supes an exorbitant property tax?

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the Metropolis city council meeting where they decide to serve either Superman or Darkseid with legal papers. . . .

Maybe those buildings take out insurance now. They have to given all the damage they go through on a seemingly daily basis. Al those explosions and damage must get pretty pricey.

LOL! I could see it now! Apokolips insurance! Oh, yeah! I am sure the insurance companies LOVE it in the DC Universe!

And how about Tokyo, with all the Godzilla insurance they must be selling?

I wonder if in the Marvel universe, if NYC has Mutant insurance, since there seems to be sentinels chasing after mutants and Spidey villians doing damage to just about every bilding. I'd think it'd be hilarious for citizens to drag these heroes into court to pay for damages.
