I heard that Batman and the Joker would be on an episode of Static Shock (with Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill reprising their roles.) Is this true,or is it only a rumor?

Oh - it's true! It's the season opener for Static Shock and should be airing in early Febuary. The episode, called The Big Leagues has Batman and Robin going to Dakota to track down Joker. Naturally - they run into Static. Batman's design will be his "TNBA" design, slightly tweaked. Robin, on the other hand, will look different Not only will he have a new voice, but his head will be smaller and hair not as spiky. The costumemay alkso be tweaked some. The Joker will appear juust as he did inthe flashback in BB;ROTJ.

No problem. We should have the airdate anytime now. WB has released their schedules up to the end of January almost. Febuary is sweeps month so it shouldn't be too long before we get to see that ep.

Definatly! I'm interested in seeing what the new Robin design will be. But I was told that the show will remain faithful to the Batman Beyond show and will be a bit darker than a regular episode of SS -- thankfully...

The crew behind the show are very excited for it. I've been talking to some of them and they have tremendous faith in the episode. Weird thing is...so does Kids'WB...

It's weird becuase Kids'WB! basically abandoned Batman and Superman when the ratings slipped slightly, and just booted off Batman Beyond with barely any warning. It'll be interetsing to see how the network acknowledges Batman, Robin, and Joker.

i gotcha. dg, if this ep does well, what does that mean for batman? for dtvs? i personally, would love to see another run for b:tas, meaning new eps, but i dont think that will happen

It's to early to tell if this episode will be a play for more B:TAS episodes, but it's possible. If the ratings are through the roof and then some, then I could see it. Although the ratings would have to be considerably high for KWB to break their "13 & under audience" rule they seem to have going on. By that I mean all their shows are aimed at kiddies, moreso than ever.
But again - very unlikely. Timm and his crew are busy on JL, and the rest of the original BTAS/TNBA/BB have split off to do their own thing.

Does anyone know where I can see a picture of Joker from the ROTJ flashback? I haven't seen it, and I'm curious what he looked like.

Basically..it's the TNBA joker w/ red libs and actual eyes....other than that, I don't think there was much of a change...
you'll also see him this way in upcoming Justice League episodes..

Hey Bird_Boy,
With Robin being redesigned for this episode, looks like you may have to put up a new avatar for it after it airs. :)

Heck if the new Robin design is THAT good I'LL make one too! :p Well I'm sure it'll be good, but I'm not expecting a 19th century artist's work. Hehe. Anyway I'm really looking foward to the episode, and taping it, although I really wouldn't consider KidsWB! for anything in this matter. They had Batman and Superman, then ditched them. I saw we just swing into the network one last time to get some Static and some Batman then continue to leave them behind us. :p
