I was just at the store and looking in the comics isle I found te jutice league comic. As I was reading it I found something that caught my eye. When Flash got his shoes all "slipped" up and dd't have any traction he took them off....and he didn't have any socks on! I'm a little surprised. I've seen things like this before..like on Sonic the Hedgehog's series, but I wasn't expecting the JL to have barefeet. I just thought this was funny and decided to share it with you. Another thing..would't that hurt his feet to be going at that speed? I mean the friction must be intense! And what the heck is Flash's suit made of to withstand that kind of resistance? I don't think Spandex is going to cut the mustard on this one. lol. Superheroes and their spandex...with all of them wearing it you'd think there would be some kind of revolution to wear it or something....

The following is based on the comics versions of the Flash only; we don't yet know enough about the cartoon version.
The Barry Allen Flash had as one of his specific powers an aura that protected him (and his costume) from friction heat. Thus, traveling at high speeds was no problem. Wally West started with the same powers as Barry Allen had, so presumably he also has such an aura, though in these days of science-phobic writers, we may never know.
Currently, the Wally West Flash has apparently magical powers deriving from some mystic force called the Speed Force which is part afterlife, part sentient being, part energy source, part extradimensional prison, and part plot device. The Wally West Flash currently wears a costume created out of the Speed Force. Note that the Speed Force is also the place where superspeedsters go when they die, so Wally might be wearing Barry Allen. Ooh, ick.
Wally West currently has the power to do anything as long as he rationalizes it by sticking the phrase "Speed Force" into whatever explanation he gives for his abilities.

I knewof the comic book stuff, but i was wonderingif it wastranslated to the series or not. Somtimes its best to leave that sort of thing out of a new show, and save it for a "Flashback" when explanation is needed. I'm sure they won't leave the audience hanging for too long.

My guess is his powers won't come from any connection to Barry, because I don't think he exists. Wally's probably a scientist himself!

Is it just me, or doesn't it bother you when you hear that Wally is working with radioactive/nuclear materials? Think about it. This is the same guy that in the episode ideas thread that would sit at home and watch cartoons. Or, in another thread, get the power to conjure a submarine sandwich.
I feel very unsafe.
