Bruce and Terry switch eras.

Just a stray hypothetical thought. What do you think would happen if Bruce and Terry were somehow displaced in time? The young Bruce Wayne with his old fasioned bat suit and trusty utility belt vs. the likes of Blight and Inque and the inexperienced Terry with his high tech batsuit vs. the likes of Bane and Poison Ivy. I think it would be a really cool story idea (if not a bit difficult to explain the innitial switch) but it would be fun to see them out of their natural environments, Bruce could argue with his older self and Terry could work with the old bat-team.
Personally I'd love to see Bruce go up against Inque, Spellbinder, and the Royal Flush Gang... and he'd probably fight Blight too...
and Terry go up against (since he's already fought the Joker, Mr. Freeze, and Ras) Harley and Ivy, Clayface, Catwoman, Riddler, and Scarecrow.

What if Terry had been the kid in Crime Alley who saw his parents get gunned down and Bruce was the inexperienced kid born much later that an elderly Terry wound up taking in to train as the new Dark Knight?

With the Bruce-Bruce thing you've got weird temporal issues to deal with. Does old Bruce remember the adventures of young Bruce in the Beyond universe? Or is young Bruce landing in a parallel universe?

Leaving that aside, I don't think Bruce Wayne would like himself, and the youngster and oldster would probably separate. Old Bruce would probably try meddling at a distance with young Bruce, and it would drive young Bruce out of his mind. As for Bruce vs. the Beyond villains, I'm enough of a fanboy to think young Bruce could handle himself against them. If for no other reason than cuz he would grab whatever hi-tech gear he needed to win.

Terry and young Bruce. Ah, lots of possibilities there. Depends on how old Terry is, whether he is first season or third season Terry. Also, don't forget the presence of the supporting cast: If Nightwing, Tim Drake and Babs are around, you've got a real opportunity for personal melodrama.

I dunno. Really, I think it would take fanfic to answer these questions! :D

That would be a story I'd like to read. Would the young Bruce hate the guy he would end up being? He'd see a lot of empty costumes on the wall and this old guy hunched over his computer in a big empty cave all alone...there were a couple of times when he was younger that he thought about ditching the old cape-and-cowl....how would he react?
