...it's pretty repetitive. I'm not talking about the plotlines or jokes, those are always fresh. I'm talking about the BGM (I swear, they use six or seven songs over and over), the episode introductions (Sana ALWAYS has to explain who the major people in here life are! I think 20 episodes in, we know by now), the endings (the credits music always starts 30 seconds before the credits, and usually comes when a cliffhanger is revealed), and Babbit losing his comic abilities.
Babbit is getting progressively less funny, especially in Volume 5. His random comments during the show used to be great but now it's become almost.... predictible when he'll show up and what he'll say. And it doesn't help that he's become a Public Service Announcement guy when he says "Kids don't try this at home!" No duh.
I know Kodocha previously aired on TV once a week, so such repetition isn't as bad in 24 minute spurts, but now that it's on DVD and you can watch multiple episodes back to back, it's harder to ignore.
I know repetition isn't exclusive to Kodocha- pretty much every TV anime has those elements to certain extents. I guess I'm picking on Kodocha because if it just cut out some of the repeated stuff it could get back to the unpredictable freshness and originality of the first couple of volumes. So my question is, does Kodocha keep doing this, even in later seasons? Or is it mainly limited to the first season?
