I got a letter in the mail today from Columbia House today, and it said :

Great news! Exciting new episodes have been added to the "Looney Tunes: The Collector's Edition" series. I'm certain you'll want to add these to your collection. If you wish to continure your series, simply do nothing. Your next volume will be mailed to you soon.

Now if only I knew what cartoons were gonna be on these! maybe someone should give CH a call...

Well, I gave Columbia House a call, and all they'd tell me is that the first new tape will be available on June 29th. They also confirmed that there will be 5 new volumes, for a total of 15.

Well, that's certainly good news. I'm going to call them up right away and order the set. Hopefully some news will surface soon about the contents, but at this point I do have had CONFIRMED NEWS about something good, and something bad re: these additons-

BAD: no Buddy or Bosko :(

GOOD: previously unreleased B&Ws.....

...... come on, "Porky's Ant.... Hobby Horse Laffs....Africa Squeaks... (please please please please please please)

OK, I have question about these videos: Are they just Columbia House exclusives, or are they part of a "subscription", just like Columbia House does for a number (and I mean a BIG number) of old TV shows? Regardless, can anyone throw me a bone here, so I can start buying them?

They are part of a subscripition series. Here's a link to the listing of the contents, courtesy of Jon Cooke's Looney Tunes video guide.

All the cartoons are uncut, all B&W cartoons are B&W, and there's a few cartoons that rarely, if ever, air. I highly recomend it.

Tell me about it, hence the *drool*. Plus, I've seen the fruits of Columbia House's labors with The Twilight Zone and the original Star Trek. To be honest, all the studios should release alltheir old TV/movie series through them.
