Looks like Nintendo is finally extending their Player's Choice brand to portable games...

Albeit it's in a limited fashion. Mario & Luigi and Super Mario Advance 1 & 3, all $19.99. Still a good sign...

'bout time
I think they're trying to beat out the Greatest Hits line of PSP games that are american bound, and I can get the first M&L game that preceeded the PIT DS game, and it's nice to see the Mario re-issues on a cheaper scale.
It's a start, hopefully more will come with this, unlike the NES classics which only lasted for a short time and paled in comparrison release-wise to the Japanese Line
cheaper games are always a good thing.

And it took them... How long to finally make GBA games player's choice?
Need more to pique my interest.

Given how many GBA games could use reprints, this is great news to me. I've been meaning to get Maro and Luigi, and now I can take a bit more time in doing so.
It's great, but honestly they should be cheaper. 49.99 to 19.99 is a better deal than 29.99 to 19.99. 9.99 would be more practical IMO.
I hope more hit the shelves, see, I'm a cheap ass :p

I've already bought all three. I sold Super Mario Advance, but it's not worth rebuying.

Have they even announced the Greatest Hits line for America? It's been a while. Either way, this is just Nintendo tradition; the only systems they've not done Player's Choice is for NES, VB, GBC, and, well, the new NDS.

I'm cheap as hell too, that's why I'm hoping that we'll be able to see player's choice titles hit Bookmans for closer to ten or fifteen bucks.

This will make buying GBA games much more easier for me now.

Great news, but as Juu-kuchi said, way to late, we've had the gamevube players choise line for ages now, and that came out a year AFTER the GBA
I'll still be getting mario and lugi superstar saga neverless, I dont normally like RPGs, but this was fun beyond belief \0/
Allready have the other two though.

Well the NES was in the earlly days of the gaming industry, before the rereleasing craze starting, the game boy colur was only out for 3 years, and iirc it was pretty much dead by 2000. And the virtua boy... christ how long was that for? less then a year? Not to mention it had less than 50 games, and was a big failure

Will the Players Choice line include third-party titles this time?

*shrug* All we know is what that NP blurb says. I imagine they're gauging the market with those three titles to see if more are viable (which I'm sure they will be).
The GameCube Player's Choice line has third party titles, so I imagine the GBA's will if it takes off (though many third parties already mark down their GBA games over time, and some have taken to releasing budget-priced, multi-game cartridges).

The GC came out in November of '01, while the GBA came out in June of '01 - that's five months between systems, not a year. I agree that it's taken WAY too long for the line to come to the GBA, but I'd rather have it be late than nonexistent.

Finally, Mario Advance 3 is not $40.
Like it's been since day 1.
