Who is Margaret Sawyer, of the GPD??

She was made shift commander of the major crimes uint of Gotham PD, in 'Tec 764. I guess she's sort of the new Bullock.
Anyway she's going to be working on the lastest case of the Bruce Wayne muderer,arc so I want to know more info on her.
I know she comes form Metropolis, has she met Superman??
I wonder what she'll do about the murder, and dealing with the Batman.

Maggie Sawyer was the head of the Metropolis Special Crimes Unit, which dealt with super-human criminals and the like. She and Superman were very close, an interacted very often. She's also a lesbian, which was revealed in one of the "Private Lives" annuals from 1988 or so. I think her girlfriend's name is "Toby", or something similar.
